Read somewhere before that recast cost like US$70 only, at some toy/comic con, tat was cheap.
So even recast has also raised in value together with original
Collectibles STATUES - busts, props, replicas, collectibles -, news, hauls, collection pics, etc.

If right knuckle it is understood... sad thing is it is the left one. The seller is on eBay. No way to COD. That's what I m afraid of. And recast is only USD70... Hmmm... It will make me feels like a jackass if I end up paying USD550 for one.... Hmmmmm...

Don't worry about original value etc.. Everything has a value to its beholder ie. one man's meat is another's poison. Some may think it's worth nothing, but to you, is worth something. |

This not the forum to talk hot toys la.... unless bust or statue related. Anyway, female hot toys not nice at all, compared to male hot toys... not realistic and fake looking. |

Just to point out: Enterbay and HotToys do produce (1/6, 1/4 scale, non scale) busts, statues, diorama... Since those infect the action figure thread/the quality of sculpts should infect this thread.... lines of separation blured (replicas with joints)

There's no confusion for me.
Hot toys is a 1/6 scale action figure, able to articulate. Some people are sensitive when it's mentioned 'action figure' or 'doll' so they prefer call it 'collectible figure'. Same for sideshow 1/6 figure series. As for other stuff from HT or EB eg. iron man 1/4 bust or bruce lee statue, it's already mentioned in most websites that they are 'bust' or 'statue' Key definition for statue = no articulation... stationary This post has been edited by waeguk: May 27 2011, 10:01 PM |

For this hobby, its quite tricky to categorize. Some forums group by brand eg sideshow, hot toys. Other forums by theme eg star wars, marvel.
For lowyat, not consistent... group by theme, brand, type, etc. So happen lowyat 6" to 12" forum is for hot toys figures mostly ... sideshow 12" seldom mentioned in there, mostly discussed in star wars forum instead. Even 3" to 6" seldom talked there unless related to starwars, transformers, gijoe - they have own forum. So other themes, eelek. |
