Rian Phra Phrom 8 Faces, Roon Sorng, Nur Nawa, Ajahn Tew, Wat Manichulakarn (B.E.2548)

Made : 2548 pieces

The Objective of making these batch of Phra Phrom is to raise funds to build a Buddhist Shrine Naga staircase to the Buddha.

Phra Phrom(The four-faced Brahmā Sahampati) 四面神
Brahmā Sahampati is an early Hindu religion dating back some 5,000 years. This religion is mainly symbolized by a trinity of Gods, namely; Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. It is believed that this Brahmanical triad combined their powers to create the Buddhist world.

One of the earliest iconographic descriptions of Brahma is that of the four-faced god seated on a lotus. In Thai Buddhism this Brahminist 4-faced god is known as "Phrom Sie Nah ", but it often referred to by others as the 4 faced Buddha.

Thai Buddhists highly respect many Brahminist gods including the 4-faced Phrom Buddhism grew out of a culture which believed in many levels of gods, called devas. There were also the highest level of gods, the Brahma gods, and Maha Brahma, the highest God.

Indeed many Thai religious ceremonies are heavily influenced by Hindu ritualistic practices even amulet consecrations. Buddhism as a religion is deeply rooted in early Hinduism from which it developed.

The description of Brahma like other deities of Hinduism bears a mystic symbolism. The lotus represents the Reality. Brahma sitting on the lotus indicates that he is ever-rooted in the infinite Reality. Reality is the foundation on which his personality rests. The four faces of Brahma represent the four Vedas. They also symbolise the functioning of the inner personality (antahkarana) which consists of thoughts. They are the mind (manas), the intellect (buddhi), ego (ahamkara) and conditioned-consciousness (chitta). They represent the four ways in which thoughts function. They are the manifestations of the unmanifest Consciousness

The significance of the 4 faced God from the Thai perspective is that the Great Brahma is able offer help to the people who cry to him from all directions, granting wishes to those who ask. It is widely thought that Phra Phrom offers protection from danger and prosperity in business.

The most famous image of Brahma or Phra Phrom is located at the Erawan Shrine which can be found at the intersection between Ratchadamri Road and Ratchaprasong Road in Pathum Wan district, Bangkok, Thailand. It is a popular tourist attraction and often features performances by resident Thai dance troupes, who are hired by worshippers in return for seeing their prayers at the shrine answered.

Interestingly Lord Brahma is not popularly worshipped in India. This is so, because the idea of creation is repugnant to seeker of Truth since the creation of thoughts has veiled the infinite Reality. The attempt of all spiritual seekers is to destroy the existing thoughts and maintain the state of single pointed thought until the Reality is revealed. Hence, Siva (god of destruction) and Vishnu (god of maintenance) are worshiped more than Brahma.

Phra Phrom will save you from black magic and the evil ones, brings you happiness, money and prosperity, help to make your good wishes come true, providing protection from danger, and endow the wearer with good luck and and fortune.

The significance of the the various objects held in the hands are:

1.Book signifies wisdom (Panna) leading to the right path to success
2.Chanting Beads signifies cultivation of good karma in the cycle of birth and death (Samsara)
3.Jug signifies ample water (wealth) where one would not be out of thirst opportunity to earn a living
4.Baton is used to discard all obtacles created by the evil ones
5.Shell signifies bringing luck and obtaining precious ones
6.Hand on the Chest signifies protection and safety

Phra Pidta Kanok Khang, Nur Phong Bailan, Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee (B.E.2522)

Phra Pidta Lai Kanok Khu, or also known as Kanok Khang, was made in a special form that was generally different from the earlier batches of Luang Pu Toh's Pidta amulets. Both sides of the Phra Pidta image has a "Kanok" which is a classical Thai design and is how the name came about. The approximate measurement is 2.7cm width by 2.1cm height and thickness 0.7cm (of which the thickness can vary from pieces to pieces). The quantities made are as follows:

1. Nur Phong Kesorn, no thakrud inserted, 1,500 pieces
2. Nur Phong Bailan, no thakrud or 2 thakrud inserted total 10,000 pieces (2 thakrud inserted less than 4,000 pieces)
3. Nur Phong Kesorn, Phim Kammakan (committee mould), 1 gold thakrud and 1 silver thakrud inserted, 5 pieces
4. Nur Phong Bailan, 1 gold thakrud and 1 silver thakrud inserted, 100 pieces
5. Nur Phong Bailan, Phim Kammakan Piset (special committee mould), 2 gold thakrud inserted, 40 pieces

Phra Pidta Mahalap, B.E.2522, Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee

In the year B.E.2522, Than Phrakru Viroj Kittikhun arranged to create a batch of Phra Pidta amulets which consists of 2 phims. They were namely "Phra Pidta Lai Kanok Khu" and "Phra Pidta Lang Yant Nak Tha Nak", both of which were made of sacred powder. Luang Pu Toh consecrated these 2 types of Phra Pidta amulets together with Phra Chaiwat Pawared and Phra Sangkachai Loy Ong Nur Nawaloha.

All the amulets from this batch were arranged neatly in a big container during the consecration ceremony which lasted 1 day. There was a fire in which burned the front of the main altar table during the main ceremony which was caused by the Thian Chai (auspicious candle). Phrakru Viroj Kittikhun mentioned that the chanting thread (Sai Sin) which was used to tie the main Buddha image on the altar to the amulets container was miraculously unburnt even though it was in the way of the fire. When the fire started spreading towards the container which contained the Phra Pidta, Phra Chaiwat and Phra Sangkachai amulets, Luang Pu Toh seemed to chant something which caused the fire to miraculously extinguish itself when it touched the container. The witnesses to this miraculous event, both young and old, were absolutely amazed and agreed with another that this batch of amulets was definitely of an extremely powerful nature. Later on, when the amulets were distributed to the public, many devotees who wore this batch of amulets shared with one another their countless experiences, especially stories about wealth and fortuned which seemed to bestow on them miraculously (Chok Lap). Many also shared their experiences on how they narrowly escaped dangerous and life-threatening situation (Kleaw Klaad) and also on how they seem to be much more respected by others (Metta Mahaniyom).

(The information about Phra Pidta, Luang Pu Toh is from others website. Just used for reference.)

Buccha Phra Mae Thorani, Luang Phor Hong, Wat SusanTungmon, Surin Province (B.E.2555)

Size : 5 inch Lap

Phra Mae Thorani or Nang Thorani, are Thai and Lao language names for the Khmer language Preah Thorani, an earth goddess of the Buddhist mythology of the region. She is also known as Suvathara or Sowathara.

The word "Thorani" is the Royal Thai General System of Transcription romanization of "dharaṇī", a loanword from Pali and Sanskrit for ground, earth. Pra, from preah (Khmer: superior, holy) and Mae (mother).

Images of Phra Mae Thorani are common in shrines and Buddhist temples of Burma, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos. According to Buddhist myths Phra Mae Thorani is personified as a young woman wringing the cool waters of detachment out of her hair, to drown Mara, the demon sent to tempt the Buddha as he meditated under the bodhi tree.

In temple murals Phra Mae Thorani is often depicted with the Buddha in the posture of Calling the earth to witness. The waters flowing forth from her long hair wash away the armies of Mara and symbolize the water of the bodhisattva's perfection of generosity (dana parami).

The Bodhisattva was sitting in meditation on his throne under the Bodhi Tree, Mara, the Evil One, was jealous and wanted to stop him from reaching enlightenment. Accompanied by his warriors, wild animals and his daughters, he tried to drive the Bodhisattva from his throne. All the gods were terrified and ran away, leaving the Bodhisattva alone to face Mara's challenge. The Bodhisattva stretched down his right hand and touched the earth, summoning her to be his witness. The earth deity in the form of a beautiful woman rose up from underneath the throne, and affirmed the Bodhisattva's right to occupy the vajriisana. She twisted her long hair, and torrents of water collected there from the innumerable donative libations of the Buddha over the ages created a flood. The flood washed away Mara and his army, and the Bodhisattva was freed to reach enlightenment.

Effect : Great to clear all obstacle, all peaceful smooth and Successful in life, Fast raise in career and business, Improve your Luck.

Luang Phor Khron (Tok Raja) Taolit (绑腰) B.E.2506, made and chanted by Chao Khun Chan, Wat Uttamaram(aka Wat Bangsek), Kg. Teresek, Pasir Mas, Kelantan, Malaysia.

Effect : Protection from Harmproof, bad influence and evil, Metta Mahalap, Bring good fortune especially Business and Authority, Bring Prosperity, Wealthy fetching, Improve your luck and fortune.

Tok Raja of Wat Uttamaram Pasir Mas Kelantan.

Khron Ratchanaren (known as Tok Raja) was born on Thursday December 1, BE2419 (1876). He was sent to Wat Uttamaram by his parents when he was 12 years old to learn Buddhism and Thai language. He stayed with Archan Lok who was the temple Chief Abbot at that time. Tok had showed great interest in Buddhism and became a “Dek Jom” under the supervision of Bhikkhu (monks) in the temple. Besides, he also learned crafting and construction. He once told the devotees that even from an early age, he cherished the ambition of joining the monk hood and stay in the temple to learn Buddhism unlike his other kampung (village) boys of the same age who more preferred to stay in their homes in the kampung.

Ordination (Upasombot)
Tok Raja joined monkhood (Bhikkhu) on Jun 15, 2438 (1895) when he was 21 years old. The ordination took place at Wat Uttamaram and was ordained by the following monks:

1) Phra Upatcha Palad Chai of Wat Mai Suwankhiri
2) Phra Khru Ophart Phuthakhun of Wat Chon Prachumthart and
3) Phra Athikarn Phut from Wat Bangtakwa Silaloi who became Kammavacanusavanacarn

Tok Raja was then given a Buddhist name known as Punnaksuwanno.
Seeking knowledge

After becoming a monk, he stayed at Wat Uttamatam for two phansa after that he travelled to Southern Thailand to learn Pali language and at that time is known as the big book. Tok was resided at Wat huaphom Nai in Songkhla and learn Buddhism in greater depth. He also learned “Phrakhatha vertmon” which consist of “Khamphi Mulkachai” and “Khamphi Thammadboth” in Wat Huaporm Nai as well as Vipassana Kammatharn technique in Songkhla for 15 years. In the year 2449 BE, Tok Raja was appointed Chief Abbot of the Wat for 10 years.

Due to the fact that Tok Raja needs to be back to Malaya, he stepped down as Chief Abbot of Wat Huaporm Nai. Once back from Thailand, he became the Chief Abbot of Wat Mai Suwankhiri for 6 years before been transferred back to Wat Uttamaram and became the Chief Abbot of the Wat in year 2468 BE. He taught Vippassana meditation and ubasok ubasika Buddhaborisat to the kampung folks Buddhist fundamentals as well as Vertmon Katha to his pupils.

Positions hold by Tok Raja
1) 2470 BE (1927) – appointed by Phra Khru Ophatbudthakhoon as Phra Palas Thananukrom
2) 2476 BE (1933) – Tok Raja became Upatchaya
3) 2484 BE (1941) – appointed as Phra Khru Vicarn
4) 2488 BE (1945) – became the Chief Abbot of Kelantan State known as Phra Vicaranayanmuni

His role in the deployment of Dharma knowledge and spreading of Buddha’s teachings When Tok Raja came back from Songkhla Thailand, he stressed a lot on knowledge skill. He worked very hard in order to expand the knowledge skills to devotees in Kelantan but did not meet his expectation since the Society at that time did not realise the importance of education and as such, was unable to achieve his mission to the fullness.

In early year of BE2491 (1948), Thai Buddhism has spread out of the country especially to the neighbouring country like Malaya.Malaysia was formerly known as Malaya. In that year, the first Naktham school was established in the Kedah state of Malaya. Tok has waited for the opportunity to open up such school for long time and has establish the same Naktham school in the year BE2492 and the first school was established in Wat Uttamaram Bangsek itself.

It was a resounding success in establishing these schools and Tok Raja later handed over the management of the school to Phra Maha Chan Kesaro who possessed “Parian Tham 6 Prakyok” as a teacher master. Even though there was a shortage in teaching resources, there was a huge demand from monks all over Kelantan to study at Wat Uttamaram to seek knowledge and learn Naktham where the expenses incurred were manageable. It was not easy to go to Wat Uttamaram at that time where it took hours to reach by walking through the jungle. Such obstacles did not prevent these pupil monks from reaching the Wat and in the same year as it was established, the first Naktham examination was held at Wat Uttamaram in Kelantan.

The Miracles of Tok Raja (The Sacred Tongkat)
Tok Raja spent his non-meditation hours in research into ancient and forgotten manuscripts which revealed ceremonies and prayers for every occasion. He made searching enquiries into information gleaned from his readings. He never considered unlikely or as far-fetched the stories he had read or heard of how and where priceless documents had been hidden in times of peril. He explored caves which others fear to enter and seldom found his mission unfruitful. From these ancient writings he copied the prayers and chants which are the weapons he uses in his self-imposed war against Black Magic. He tried the effect of these prayers upon himself when sick, and at all times opportunity offered itself to test his Faith & Power. One day, a novice brought to him a very aged document which he knew was something precious as it has been zealously guarded heirloom. He found that the documents described how a sacred tongkat (wand) should be constructed and the ingredients that went into its making. The tongkat was too powerful for the novice who made no use of it. On his death-bed, the novice gifted the tongkat to Tok Raja. Since then, it has never been out of his sight for a fleeting moment. He carried it with him wherever he goes and when asleep, it rests beside him. He has put the tongkat to good use in effecting cures both physical and mental. No ordinary man can touch the tongkat without feeling its Power. He has attained so high a standard of perfection and he was no mere mortal. By a few seconds of association with someone, or at a glance, he can say if the person seeking his help is clean in heart, a genuine sufferer or a fake if he has come to him convinced that only prayer can save life.

Tok Raja had never refuse aid and preached Dharma to those fake instead. He won more and more followers to his philosophy of life. News spread widely from devotees and even strangers about the wonders he had performed for them. He certainly was a modern Miracle Worker who convinces you of the unbelievable stories from the recovery of a dying man to saving from been possessed of evil spirit and even non Buddhist experience similar wonders in resolving their problems.

Donations poured in to the temple from all corners of Malaya (including Singapore) and with adequate funds, Tok was able to built the Kelantan first Naktham school in Wat Uttamaram (2nd School in Malaya after Kedah) and constructed Ubosoth (Both) and Kutis surrounding the temple.

Tok Raja’s Last Days
Tok Raja enjoyed good health and always fresh and active even at the age of over eighty years old. His health only started to deteriote from July 2505BE (1962) onwards. Tok’s health was deteriorating significantly after his trip to Singapore. The bad news about his health was spread like wild fire and many people from all over Malaya (Malaysia) came to visit him, including the Royal Highness The Sultan of Kelantan. QUOTE(Nicklkc @ Oct 5 2011, 06:52 PM)
Phra Khun Paen Um Nang(green color), Luang Phor Chuen, Wat Ta Ei, Buriram Province. (B.E. 2545)
This quite unusual and attractive amulet was consecrated by Luang Phor Chuen, Wat Ta-Ei, Buriram. He is renowned for creating 'Love Amulets' and on this occasion he has created a most unusual design. The front features Khun Paen whilst the reverse features a stallion carrying a young lady. The Amulet itself features a copper and gold takrut buried in the front, and a silver takrut on the reverse. A magically aroused gem sits prominently in the chest of Khun Paen. Khun Paen is known to us from ancient Thai literature (King Rama ll) as a 'Dashing Lover' and 'Able Warrior'

This amulet was made in two different sets, those with nine takrut and those with three takrut as featured here. This particular version was made in both black and green, each in a quantity of 499 amulets. The amulets were consecrated on the 10th September 2002.

This amulet was made for one specific reason only and that is as a charm to attract women. Highly recommended for people who want that extra confidence in approaching member of the opposite sex.

Monies earned from the sale of these amulets will be used by Luang Phor Chuen for the repair and construction of the principal monastery at Ta-Ei Temple.

The amulet was created using a mixture of 108 highly potent herbs and sedges known to have magical qualities. Some of the more potent inclusions are listed below:

Parasitic plant found on the horseradish tree, triangle-love tree, star gooseberry tree (Mayom), crown flower tree, a drumstick tree, elephant herb (An essential ingredient in any love charm, basically herbs collected from an area where elephants are copulating. It is believed to create and stimulate sexual desire.) Traditional medicine men say that such herbs are so potent that even a tiger wants to make love with a monkey.

Lost Herb: Whoever comes close to this herb will get lost in the forest until they die. Unable to find there way out of the dense undergrowth. According to a traditional belief, this herb has magical properties that inspire mercy and charm.

Powder from "Ma Sep Nang Herb'' (A male horse courts a female horse), powder from "Nang Ok Taek Herb''  (Broken-hearted woman), powder from "Thep Ranchuan Herb'' (Charming Angel), magic powder from "Chang Pasomklong Herb'' (Elephant Herb)

Powder from flowers of gold, Choong Nang Herb (Herb for attracting a lady), Khun Paen Herb

"Khun-Paen-spells-an-army herb'' (good for spelling a lady) and "magic powder from all auspicious herbs

Finally the amulet is then blessed with ancient incantations, such as the 'Nangyan Hongron' spell, the 'Golden Swan' spell, both of which are known to enhance male charm.

This amulet is ideal for the man that wants to increase his natural attractiveness to the opposite sex, someone that wants to be charming and surrounded by female company. Whoever owns this idol will be so attractive and fascinating that the ladies never want to leave. This is the miracle that Luang Phor Chuen prayed for during consecration. Many Thai men have accredited amulets made by Luang Phor Chuen with amazing efficacy, even thoughts of a particular women will attract her. Luang Phor Chuen is also very well known monk, particularly with foreigners.

In addition to the amulet we will provide the Katha (in Thai) which Luang Phor Chuen has said should be chanted to activate the magical properties.
Namapata, my face is that of an Angel
Namapata, my arms are as nice as Narai Angel's
Namapata, my beautiful face is that of the sun.
Namapata, my power is that of the moon.
Namapata, no female angel in Heaven can resist when they see my face.
Namapata, even a tree is fascinated by my charm.
Namapata, when I think about a swan, it will fall in love with me.
Namapata, when I think about a spirit, it can forget a monk.
Namapata, when I think about a lady, she can forget her mother.
Namapata, when I think about a King, he can forget praying.
Namapata, when I think about people, they will fall in love with me.
Namapata, I think about the heaven and all angels.
  Namapata Aom Sithisawaha.

This spell can be used to charm the ladies, for making sacred perfume powder, aromatic oil, clothes to charm a lady, bring about good luck and for commercial purposes.

The amulet is supplied in the original case, along with the Temple Katha.

Phra Khun Paen, Nur Phong, Phim Yai, Luang Phor Pae, Wat PhikulThong, Singhburi Province (B.E.2522).

Size: 2.7 cm x 4.7 cm (Length x Height)

Materials: Mix Ittije sacred powder (Somdej Toh's method).

Effect: Strong Protection, Great Metta, Bring good fortune especially business, easily dealing with customers and win over competitiors.

This is a championship condition of Phra Khun Paen Phim Yai was made and blessed by LP Pae, Wat PhikulThong, in B.E.2522. LP Pae's Khun Paen is now rare and very famous for Metta and opposite-sex attractiveness. It can be used as a substitution to old efficacious Khun Paens of Wat BanKrang, Wat Yai Chaimongkol, and Wat PhraYatiGaram (LP Aant).

For 30 years LP Pae's Khun Paen has made really great impression in among young men for Metta, opposite-sex attractiveness, and fortune.

LP Pae's Khun Paens are so efficacious because the holy powder for making the Khun Paens were prepared by Wat Suthat's formula.
LP Pae highly respected Somdej Phra PhutThaJarn Toh Phramarangsi of Wat Rakang Kositaram(Bangkok). His Khun Paens were consecrated by specific Maha Metta Kathas, and ended up with ChinnaBanchorn (ChinaPanjara) Katha of Somdej Phra PhutThaJarn (Toh), Wat Rakhang for a Pannsa (Buddhists' 3-month lent period).

LP Pae made and blessed this batch of Khun Paens only once and forever in B.E.2522. The reason is that his KhunPaens are very efficacious, a lot of love hunters abraded the Khun Paens for efficacious powder and brought to mix in food or refreshment for ladies. Such the misuses were reported to LP Pae, since then he never made and blessed Khun Paen amulets again.

LP Pae was a disciple of Acharn Kliang and ChaoKhun Sri (Sondh) of Wat Suthat. Chao Khun Sri (Sondh) was Somdej Phra Sangkharaj (Pae)'s closest disciple and succeeded famous Wat Suthat Phra Kring making from his teacher.

LP Pae later furthered his higher Dhamma and incantation study with LP Sri of Wat Phraprang, a most famous and greatest teacher of Singhburi Province.

LP Pae passed away in B.E.2542 at the age of 94.
