the original hainanese is the sakai living in the island.

The first settlers is a bunch of Fujian ppl

second bunch is Guangxi ppl during Qin dynasty...

somewhere in Tang/Ming dynasty.. hainan island became a prison like Alcatraz...

in the end all sorts of ppl live there.



so there's actually no difference between pedigree or not....

i've known of a person who is hainanese... but originated from guangzhou.

i think my origin is fu jian which migrate to hainan island based on my father info.

My origin - Le Hui is at Guangzhou there. My grandpa and dad told me. Or what is Guangxi? I forgot... But it is either Guangxi or Guangzhou.

same here, you can actually check whether your ancestor is the first batch to arrived in hainan. time should be earlier than 100bc.. b4 qin dynasty
