imo, dont use haste pot and blade flurry and dst proc in a same time.. they dont decrease ur swing timer much..

this is my rotation.. 1s/5s/5r/5s/5r/5s/5r, bladeflurry + drums at the beginning then after the BF/dst faded off then haste pot.. my dps can reach 2.2k dps with enhance shaman, dps war and feral druid in my group.

and imo, how much DPS u push out on brut would mainly depend a lot on raid synergy. our last brut kill had about 7 people breaking 2k DPS. Once raid synergy is there just a matter of how geared you are imo. I would think theres nothing wrong on how you play, SWP isnt really training grounds anymore, you know the class, and you know how to play. thats all there is to it i guess.

badge leggings are better than t6. quite sure of it.
maybe u lost 4 pc bonus when u plugged it in? not sure what happened.

hunter having problems with dps @@|| i havent raided hardcore as usual and my dps droped from 1.2-.1.4k all the way to 815 T_T but yesterday during ros my class leader said if you dont pump your dps ill replace you! suddently out of no where my dps went to 1.4k =.=|| any1 can tell me a good rotation also that help to keep up high and constant dps?(bm hunter btw)


and talking abt rogues whats the fastest way to lvl them combat or sub? iv tryed sub but every 1 keep telling me to respec combat they said ill lvl 1 time faster then sub rogues esp now with the +10% exp would really come in handy

Sorry for hijacking this post, but i have a rogue and i have some question. Still pretty new from this rogue class. If someone would be so kind...

Q1. Backstab and Ambush does not work with sword for rogue? I read the skill description, it mention to require dagger.....
Q2. Is there a skill later on for rogue that void the requirement for Backstab and Ambush to daggers only?
Q3. If Backstab and Ambush does not work with sword, why does the rogue community recommend you to use sword in the first place? It kinds defeats the purpose to making rogue, with no Backstab and Ambush. I heard mutilate later on require dual dagger, which makes this dual sword equip even more odd?


This bring me to a lot of other question also, e.g. Why use double maces when no Backstab and Ambush... and etc. I can probably figure it out if i have the baseline question answered.

1) you only can use daggers for bs/amb/mutilate
2) no, you still need daggers
3) because on leveling, you dont have to stunlock mobs to get behind for bs/amb/muti. for pvp, it takes out positional requirement which can be frustrating. for raiding pve, daggers at the moment have horrible cp gen and energy usage, in terms of sustained non daggers also hold an edge, and itemization for daggers are pretty poor, and for those that finish BT, the legendary swords > all.

sure, in terms of rogue's specialty - daggers, it does make no sense, but daggers are no longer FOTM so you gotta wait for the new incoming dagger buffs (WOTLK)

double maces usually mean = mace spec and mace spec = chance to proc stun.
you dont necessarily need bs/amb to dps, for non daggers, theres cheapshot and sinister strike/hemorrhage (heck even if ur daggers, doing cheapshot > ambush, ambush is more towards pvp or pve when you got someone to hold the mob for you so you dont have to stun)

Maybe it is just me, but i enjoy playing my rogue by sneaking behind a mob and start the fight with either a backstab or ambush. It is probably just me...

and its not just you, ive been daggers since beta until TBC end game. only the last few patches especially the season3 beginning + sub tree revamp i completely ditched daggers. its so much easier to play, and the benefit you gain from subtlety far outweighs daggers in pvp, and in pve, combat tree definitely out performs assassination in the long run.

there is an alternative though, which is combat daggers, but... i would rather slit my wrists than play that spec ANY DAY.

and u play whatever u wanna play man, mutilate looks kinda good as well, so you might wanna try that. combat daggers isnt bad as well. one of my raider rogues is combat daggers and hes matching dps with dbl glaives. (lose a bit etc etc, but dps is at that range)

look at the thread title, normally, if one isnt invited to a party per say, and he still shows up, that shows rudeness to the host instead.

mutilate, its kewl, and its definitely fun to raid with. just loses out on dps a lil compared to deep combat specs.
combat daggers, its THE raiding spec until double glaives/bt or hj itemization ruins it. that said, playing combat daggers is very torturing to most rogues including myself.

It looks like an interesting fight but so many things to watch out for while learning it.

illidan is interesting, no doubt. p2 is a blast to learn, but things to watch out for? i dont think theres anything imo, just stay spread out and watch your threat. thats about it i think.
