ya. the black color is called primer i think. the function is to increase the paint bonding between paint and metal.

The type of fuel lid you see people put on - usually sold at accessories shop like Brothers - chrome silver colour.. like type R brand not honda type r.

Fuel lid cover - the part you meant

Fuel cap - the inner one

wow, i seldom come in to fast n furious, and i din know there were that many ppl driving savvy... smile.gif

me too am a savvy driver... MT, black, 2005, 35000km jor, all stock...

btw, how did you guys manage to pump in so much? when my petrol bar blinks (left only 1), i reach full tank after about 21-22 liter of fuel... but manage to travel about 340km... so, 15.5km/l?
*
Hi welcome!!

Try to drive till the last drop of petrol lol! I think you refuel at times when the indicator FIRST starts to blinks (2 bars blinking)..it will revert back to 2 bar before dropping to 1 bar..

At 1 bar usually can refill 26 litres- at most 30-33 litres..

The last bar can last you quite long! if refill 26 metres can last you till 500 km.

Your mileage / FC is good enough for city driving just like mine...try long distance trip and be surprised.

We're back to RM50 for 500km trip at Rm2/litre price.

Added on November 28, 2008, 1:15 pmActually we have 40 people...screwedup the numbering lol.

no offense but i could see some bad manual drivers can't shift properly. car jerk when changing gear and lifting clutch. How is ur driving style? i'm now in penang. Lotsa savvy in penang esp NRU cars with great makeup. I dunno whats wrong with urs but mine still gives RM50 FOR 5OOKM. With end of life engine oil n dirty open pod filter. Continous .110 kmh drive from ayer keroh to juru along PLUS . 488 for rm46 to be exact can last more than 500km if not for the chokinp point at the bridge.

Nope as I said it starts to blink at 488km- this one using BHP 92..110km/h at 3600 rpm - sometimes top out at 120-130.

ON the way back is even better- more than 500km on Primax3 full tank- using old road from butterworth to bidor 80km/h, then using expressway 100-110km/h cos can't stand the jam at bidor town.

The speed is accurate based on my N78 GPS using 13'' rim (speed on gps and speedometer) - proven no difference in speed and tyre size compare to stock size..

Oh yea this Garmin Mobile XT (keygen unlocked )is damn hell accurate, I could navigate around unfamiliar penang and butterworth with EASE!! lol...see my reviews at handphone section.

I saw lotsa savvys in penang, but not many in Ipoh.

Added on December 9, 2008, 10:37 amTry use good oil like synthetic oil..

though I doubt that could help cos I got similar FC when using Mach 5 also..

Apexi open pod filter, R3 muffler, Amsoil ATM 10w/30, 185/60/R13 tyres Barum...petrol use BHP92 and Primax3 intermittently.

Use only distilled water (like the battery water, pure water) to top up the reservoir...use only good quality coolant.

Fan spinning after turn off the engine is normal~! Do not turn on and off the engine to force it to stop spinning. Don't upset the system, let it stop itself after a few minutes...usually if you drive w/o aircon, you will encounter this feature...typical of continental cars to lowr down the engine temp cos the fan usually spins only when we turn on the aircon ( we have only 1 fan for aircon and radiator).

If there's no leak below the wiper sprinkler reservoir - it should be normal.

FOC within the warranty if it's 2 years, 5 years or even 10 years..

you can even claim for a small missing plastic screw.

Garmin Mobile XT can be used in any phone??

Is primax and bhp better than shell normal petrol(not v power...)??

1st 1000km chg engine oil, oil filter, sealing ring, and add screen wash... total RM 85.50... they'll do inspection for the car also... Which sc are you going?

If wanna know difference between stock tyre size and current tyre size... use this tiresizecalculator.info

For handphones with Windows Mobile or Symbian OS..and of course you need to have the built in or attached GPS.

Manual of course is more reliable...with more things added into the system, the realibilty goes down if you study reliabilty subject...and it's it's not like other auto slushbox are problem free also.

but you can't calculate the amount of fun provided if you think the investment is worth.

MY MT will reach 3 years 85k km this coming few weeks and it's still running 500km on RM50 like new..( I havenm't change any major parts, only tyres)....and of course there are other guys with mileage as twice as mine on savoc.net in just 3 years...

Only change manual gearbox oil at 40k km...sealed inside the gearbox w/o exposing to any byproducts of combustion like engine oil - it should last you a very long time or life time..

only concern is the AMT oil ..go for quality orignal renaumatic oil..

Found out by NK - 2006 AMT value is still RM32k..due to fuel hike and it's a fuel saver car.

Most of niggling probs had been solved like the plug cable, sensors with new designs. For AMT..better get extended warranty like 5 years. For MT, 1 year or 6 months also nvm. 2 years warranty by default. Stopped sending to proton or eon sc just after 30k km, pretty pissed off with them, when you found out you are actually know more than them, they talking cock. (it's always the marketing people, management people who screwed up things and they like to sabo their own products). But i think u can rely on our fellow bro here davidmu to facilitate ur purchase. And i can recommend you a good SA in melaka. As long as they drive a savvy. My savvy already reached 3 years with 80k km of trouble free motoring.

Just for the record...

My mileage is nearing 100k km and I still haven't change timing belt yet..I think all timing belts by default could last at least 100k.

And I'm still using the same old speed sensor/TDC sensor - no need to change whole thing.

Found out another brand Contitech kit with tensioner bearing and seals. - RM340.

sorry guys was between jobs...hard to adapt like changing cars..

Just bought Contitech brand timing belt kit for RM320.

only after 110k km then only think of changing timing belt..

The price for old design ignition coil with cables is only RM220.
