emmm... can use x moon light bulb for SG???
Yes, you can but then is really a waste of electric lah hahaha.... they won't really benefit coz gliders got large eyes that is for night time, so they can see better than us, no need light. But it is up to you lah.
QUOTE(emino @ Jun 24 2008, 09:11 AM)
Because if I give them more, they usually doesnt finish it. So I give them that much, and handfeed them some more in the morning.
Ohhh, no wonder hahah... Aiyoh, pening, today I bought 4 more stainless steel bowls. Got 9 gliders, so must have 9 bowls.
QUOTE(my stich @ Jun 24 2008, 09:45 AM)
Good morning to all,
Stich has finally slept in the sleeping pouch, weeee . but, Stich likes to make noise whenever i put him the the bonding pouch, huhu, how do i train him? i succeeded in putting him in the pouch but before that he will make noise. does this mean he doesn't like it? thank you for your kind advise.
You just got your Stitch rite? Then it just needs time to get used to pouches lah. Don't expect 1 day kinda training. What noise is he making? I mean.... gliders have many different noises.... so if you do not tell us properly, how do we know what it means? Actually, if you have done research, you would know what that noise mean already.

QUOTE(hazzy @ Jun 24 2008, 12:53 PM)
Zoey is doing fine, tapi still not eating solid foods, only Pets Own milk, milk milk.

i tried introduce to her mealworms, she tried to eat it, but she cant grab the mealworm, because went i hold it for her, the mealworms keep on spinning and the zoey dah malas nak makan. so dia minum susu and tido minum susu and tido.
1 more thing, zoey suke gigit cage. is this normal?
Cage biting..... it normally means either the glider is tasting to know what is a cage or it has a compulsive behaviour problem. If she does it often, then it's compulsive behaviour....
Your joey so underage, she of course won't want anything else than milk lah. If you are a baby, and you were given a choice of a bottle of milk or a plate of roast chicken and rice, which would you take? Milk rite? You gotta understand, she is just a baby, don't expect her to take fruits and mealworms readily.

Wah... I'm so jealous. I wan my own suggie also lar...
Just curous, how you feed milk to your suggie? With syringe? Or just give a bowl she lick herself?
If a joey is underage, normally a syringe or a dropper bottle. Syringe is easier to find and cheaper than those dropper bottle. Plus it is made of plastic, so it has to be changed frequently. When I use syringes, I would change it every 2 to 3 days to avoid bacteria build up. When a joey is 6 weeks OOP, it can learn how to drink from a plate or bowl.... but if they are still with their mom, there is no need for it lah.

~this is shee~
Anyway, they will only be up around 1@2 am and back to sleep around noon...
therefore, will be a lil bit hard for me to find some time to spend mif my babies.
did tried to force them to wake up but...hmmm..seems that they love to stay in the pouch...
tak sampai hati nak kacau them so many times..heheheh...
advice anyone??thanks ya..
Well, gliders adapt easily... but I normally leave them alone till night time, then only will I handle and play. It is up to you when you wanna wake them up in the evening. If you are having a problem with 1 or 2am, then slowly try waking them up at 12am.... then when they are ok with this timing, you can even wake them at 11pm. My 4Ks are normally up around 11pm onwards. Naya and Pama are awake around 12am, Gizmo and Sugus now are up and about around 10pm plus.... only my odd one is Keera and she only gets up at 3am.... but she sleeps after awhile, then wakes at 6am barking, then sleep back and wake again at 10am or 11am.... weird glider LOL.

1st time, i feed her using syringe, and then i tried to put her milk on a bowl, she can lick by herself, and today, i just put her milk in the water bottle (that we used for hamster) , and yea, she can lick the milk by herself
tried also, but she wont eat it, she just lick it
warhhhh!! very cute suggies u had there

welcome nadnad
Who taught you to put in the water bottle? Did you know that what you have just done is contaminated the water bottle? The plastic is not heat proof, so if you wanna disinfect it with hot water also cannot.... normal soap cannot get rid of the bacteria trapped in the water bottle.... using Detol may help but if you do not wash properly, you may end up poisoning a glider..... Just use a syringe. If you are lazy at using a syringe, then I dunno what to advice already. You cannot take easy ways out. You are now responsible for a very fragile life. It is not independent 8 week OOP joey, so you must take extra measures into caring for her.
QUOTE(Jamien @ Jun 24 2008, 07:11 PM)

When he said hammock, he meant his hand. It is the best I guess if your suggies are tame.
Just a confirmation, it is totally ok to keep 1 suggie on her own as long as you keep her with you and give her lots of attention right? Is anyone doing that?
Well.... I think keeping 2 is still the best. Last time I only kept one at first, and I saw that a single glider misses out in a lot of things. Communication, grooming and glider interaction and companionship..... so.... to me, it is best to always end up with a pair.
QUOTE(hazzy @ Jun 24 2008, 07:31 PM)
bahah, i see.
yes yes they are so irresistible
Anyway, hun! i bought ur glider slurp and pets own milk just now from Pet Shack (actually my gf bought it for me because im working right now). hope Zoey gonna love it, fuuuh worried about her. I wonder how long this GliderSlurp will last without freezer? because im at my office now.
It can last about 5 hours before the quality starts to deteriorate..... you better get home fast.

My sis and I decide that we should adopt BoBo..so now instead of 2 suggies, we will start with 3 suggies...but since BoBo will arrive 1st, can consider we have 1 suggies then add another 2 few weeks later...although technically, we decide on the 2 female suggies first before BoBo..pening huh? hehehehe
With 2 female and 1 male suggies...Wowww..my life sure havoc after this...but i'm loving it...can't wait for their arrival...
Anyway...thanks Hun...for letting us having BoBo...really appreciate it..
Eka
I was so happy to hear that you and your sis would like BoBo. Thanks so much.
Well, I will make an appointment soon to neuter him for you. Then you can take him once he has recuperated from the surgery.
Best thing is to keep separately first since your 2 female joeys are gonna be young joeys. BoBo would need to be housed separately for about 2 months. Best is to give him 3 months then only start the introduction. In the span of 3 months, do bonding and handling with BoBo and for sure he would make a nice pet.
