Should try applying for some SI/Vendor roles which give you more focus on Wintel (AD/Exchange etc). Some extra experience in VMware won't hurt either since the knowledge goes very well with Microsoft deployments smile.gif Virtualization is probably the next best thing to specialize in.

Just a little tips, go for Vendor/SI/Distributor companies such as NTT, Fujitsu, Huawei, Dimension Data, CSC, etc...
Don't work in a "customer/end-user" environment. Then only your experience will be worth something. To be honest, CCNA and MCSE is worth nothing much now, because everybody has it. But doesn't mean you don't need it.

I had an offer from a end-user company 1-2 years ago, even though its salary is much higher but I turned it down.
Few months ago I switch from vendor to a distributor company, got my CCIE & CISA, and the rest...is history smile.gif

Hi,

Im a design student. I have no programming background or so. But I would like to change the field i expertise in. Would it be advisable to take microsoft certs as a beginner? And also, is it a must to take multiple papers? As I see of the experts here all own few certs. Please advice.

Thank you. =)

Dear All Cisco experts,

I have just passed my CCNA exam. Now i want to prepare and sit for CCNA Voice or Security before Dec 2014.

Can i know which one has better career prospect (Voice vs Security)? rclxub.gif

For exam preparation:

For CCNA i use Cisco Packet Tracer and read the book (cert guide).

Can anyone share with me how to prepare on the CCNA Voice/Security exam? icon_question.gif

Can i use Cisco Packet Tracer? Or better use GNS3?

Do i really need to have real Voice equipment to practice in order to pass the exam?

Or can just read and do simulation practice? sweat.gif

All opinion/suggestions are welcome

Thank you.

Have a great day. smile.gif

Anyone took CCNA recently? Is it really worth to sign up for course or just take the exam and study by our own? Exam already quite expensive (USD295 now).
