yes, that's normal matt_1712, dun worry over it. it happens often but not everytime larr.

i think, it is accessing the memory card/or completing some background services. once that's achieved, the lag is gone.

went to nokia service centre at bb and updated my e71 firmware to 110.07.127.

it's like a fresh phone after the update, but i have not venture in depth to see the improvements.

remember to backup yr phone. as when u update u will loose all yr data stored in the phone.

i want to reformat my memory card, but how do i restore back the original apps? in particular tat worldmate

i guess so, mine is an avaax set. i reckon if it's an ori e71 by authorised distributors, they update the firmware for free

u need to connect yr e71 in usb mode ler .... using tat usb cable.

then using yr pc file explorer, navigate to your phone memory card (if tat is where u installed yr garmin) to delete tat CardRunner.dll in Garmin/sys/bin folder

eh ??? whether key locked or unlocked, with an incoming call, u just need to press answer, the "LOUDSPEAKER" key always appear on yr bottom right.

Perhaps u can try to do a restore "FACTORY SETTINGS" on yr e71?

Failing which, u shud go and update yr e71 firmware.

partner yr e71 with 3.55mm jack + a good earphone, it's a great mp3 player

i bought a shure scl2 sometime back. it shud be selling now at about rm215. good earphone!

the scl2 is the entry level for shure, if i m not mistaken. it's good for tat price range of not more than rm250. had never thought of splashing rm400+ & onwards for an earphone .. hehehe ..

bought a senheiser once, from one of the lowyat forumers fr penang, can't remember the model, it was an ear canal phone, the wire sonic was horrid, everytime u happen to brush against the wires, u hear them loudly .. must have been an imi fr china

this pair of scl2 is also an ear canal phone, it is so much different. the wire insulation is top quality, u do not hear sonics when u brush against its wire. i also like the way they fit and rest perfectly in yr ear lobes, its wires u can hang them over yr ears to the back. the sound quality at this price range is top notch.

the point is .. the e71, is a solid mp3 player, get those high resolutions mp3, coupled it with a good earphone of yr choice .. ooooooooooooooooooooooo

there are no red e71's, that is the new e63 scheduled for first qtr 2009

yes, just off and on your e71 and try again. the music manager is also convenient to attach album arts to yr songs.

update yr firmware to the latest version, that memory bug will be less frequent if not totally resolved.
