the e71 does run warm when u are using wifi, gps, 3g etc, but it shud not be like hot boiling water.
the battery shud last u easily two-three days, if not more, for normal calls and music player usage.
in yr case, i suspect that you may have enable applications running in the background without u realising it. check to see that yr wifi, bluetooth, gps, gprs, edge, 3g are off when you dun need them as they drain yr battery.
good luck.

Interestingly, for video downloads from youtube, you can get them on High Quality : High Quality On YoutubeThis is important for those who want to capture the video with better quality audio at 44.1KHz 128 kbps Stereo, for use with a good earphone. The preferred format is mp4 (fmt=18). However the realplayer on the e71 cannot play mp4 by default. I cud not find the mp4 codec for the realplayer. To resolve that, u just need to install coreplayer. Once installed, the realplayer (and the coreplayer of coz) can now play mp4. the realplayer can only play videos at 320x240 while the coreplayer can play 480x360 videos (i reckon it auto converts to 320x240 which is the e71's native screen) but with skips. QUOTE(Edoras @ Sep 29 2008, 03:39 PM) I'm tempting to buy E71 tomorrow but before that I would like to ask, I'm using MS Exchange 2007 as my office email and I'm sure it can sync (wirelessly) with the Exchange emails, right? However, can it also Sync wirelessly with my Exchange Calendars and Contacts? If not, does it mean I have to sync my contacts and calednar to my laptop and later sync back with E71 using USB canle? Yes, u can syn yr contacts, calendar, tasks via 3g. wifi, usb : This post has been edited by eye: Sep 29 2008, 04:21 PM Attached image(s)

i have not been tracking the e71 price since i've bought mine. i think the ap price is around rm1380 to rm1480, depending on the ap supplier and its accompanying warranty. U may like to do a search for those sellers at Lowyat.NET -> Trade Zone -> Garage Sales -> Handphones and Related Accessories. If u are dealing from there, always do COD, to be safe.
