How do I enable the "search contact in home screen" for the E71?

Found out that most asia pacific models does not have this feature on the E71

i dont know whether you guys aware or not..
While using internet.. If you get the 'gateway could not connect' eventhough there is 3G sign.. Try changing the network selection from auto to manual..
U should be to get connected then..
Happy trying!!

hi guys. finally i managed to install garmin mobile xt on e71. however, when i wanna update it to v5 by installing "GarminMobileXTforSymbianS603rdEdition_50000.exe", Garmin Setup cannot detect any installation path eventhough i've connected my phone to my pc through usb cable already.

welcome to d club...

nway i dont think u guys need any screen protection..my phone has been 'naked' in my pocket, with my keys and coins everyday.no scratch at all..once it even fell to d ground.i was like thinking,'damn, sure scratches allover'..but guess what..nothing..

goin into my 2nd month with this phone..n surely i would recommend it to anyone.after a few tries,i do think nokia maps is more accurate compared to google maps..

p/s make sure ur sms tone is not set to d 'loudest'.once dis makcik beside me nearly had a heart attack coz out of a sudden i received a sms.n d tone is soooo damn loud..

I was reading review and the e66 was reviewed louder than e71 smile.gif. so if u says like that i guess i have to go shop and test both. by the way, the keypad alphabet will it fade when use for long run? considering this or the e66. rclxub.gif

i havent tried d e66..so i couldnt do a comparison..

but for a normal human being,i do think that the nokia e71 is loud enuff..unless if u r working at a place with very loud noises i do think that d loudness is adequate smile.gif

d best thing is to try it at d shop..

about the fading keypads,i m not quite sure coz i ve only been using it for about 1 to 2 months..

why so many white?? they "over" stock-up??

white not bad ma... hehe

Possible. A list of E71 users was compiled at another local forum, and out of 20 E71 users, only 2 were White Steel.

That can show how "popular" the White Steel version is.

But if you look at it from a different point of view, White Steel is more rare on the street, as most will be holding a Grey Steel.

The qwerty keyboard is great but if you have big fingers.. then it'll be a slight problem as the buttons are quite compact and small.
One best thing about the E71 is the speed.. no problems with the phone running out of memory and the response of the phone is pretty fast..  rclxms.gif

I have pretty big fingers, yet have no problems in using the E71's keyboard. smile.gif

Most of the time i see lots and lots of Grey Steel users out there, too many but then i would like White Steel but, guys and white doesnt go along. Confirm later will become black in no time smile.gif.

Will take the keyboard into consideration. Besides, I'm getting it earlier next month only. Still got alot of time to look around biggrin.gif

My E71 & previous N78 had this function, just need to customise at the home screen.

As for the keypad fading, I think by the time tht happens u would have memorized ur keypads orientation & dun need the printing on it.

On the contrary, I personally think White and guys do go along pretty well, depends on how you look at it though. tongue.gif

It's all about the design IMO, and if the design is kinda girlish, and it's White, then it definitely is not for guys. Otherwise, like in the case of the E-series, I think its fine for guys to use White.

Ya white is nice but then im not a fan of white colour, the only white hp i had was the W810 and i was like concern about the hp more than myself. Scared it turns yellowish. I prefer black because i feel it adds more style into a hp smile.gif.

just got my e71 yesterday and its superb! the keypad is so nice to use. my fingers not small size, abit worried earlier. but is a breeze using it.

however, i felt that the type of finishing is prone to scratches.

hehe.... time to get the horse working today.

thanks, renee. got it from her. wink.gif

i believed price wise is pretty standard, rm1390 with 2yrs warranty. furthermore, most places do not have the grey steel. and she has it! hehehe...

btw, anyone tried the Invisible Shield?
