hi....i just started started skateboarding like 1 week ago
Its veryy fun. But then i still fall down. Any tip to keep on the board longer and move faster? Maybe i could go somewhere and you all could teach me how to board properly and even nail a basic trick? Anyways, i need a new skateboard~ Now i am using friends one...Any good one to recommend? Element? World Industries? Price would be great..Wish to be a pro skateboarder
*
for beginners..what brand or skateboard doesn't matters..as long it's an original skateboard not those fake parkson board....don't bother bout the abec 5 or 7 bearings....to be honest...just grabn those local company boards..MIZ29, Cool element, Kamikaze, HUYO, Climax, etc...

master you balancing and pushing..don't be scared..be comfortable with it....

few basic tricks would be tic tac, carving, wheelie (not manual), shuvit, ollie...

if you mastered your balancing, pushing, carving, tic tac then i would recommenced you learn them both ways..means switch..it's better you learn it now..so u get to used to both stance...unlike us...when we skate switch stance ain't that popular..s we kate like 4-5 years later..then we learn to skate switch and it's difficult coz we used to one stance...

Good Luck

guys.. how long does it take to learn how to skate fakie?
I'm a regular.. Feels really weird skating goofy....
*
that's why u have to learn it straight once you mastered your balancing, carving and ollie... start now before it's too late...

Well if you go to states..i would suggest you to get these then..

Well Bones STF 54 is nice for street setting...

1)Bones Swiss Labyrinth Competition Skate Bearings (Don;t buy this, if you want cheaper but faster bearing get Rock N Rons. Most bones bearing user turn to this one nowdays and it sold out very fast in the internet or skateshop)

2)Bones 52mm STF form wheels... (This is a fine wheels...get bigger 53 - 54 maybe)

3)Destructo low trucks (U can find Destructro trucks anywhere in Msia i guess...get other trucks instead.. ACE trucks...which is better than independent who claim to be no 1 trucks in the world)

Click here if you wanna know the truth about ABEC bearings : http://wankedah.proboards49.com/index.cgi?...play&thread=990

Read here what they were saying bout Ace (who owned by ex-Indy team manager and i';m sure he knows what he is doin)

http://www.acetruckmfg.com/ (their website)

Rock n Rons & ACE trucks??? izzit i'm the only one who never heard bout it or maybe i'm rusty already.. tongue.gif seriously, never seen those thing in malaysia..
*
coz no one research or wanted to know them... They are huge in States and Europe and even Japan...and they sold out very fast...especially Rock
n Ron's bearings...they are cheaper, faster and better than Bones bearing man...i don't know bout u guys coz.. i love speed..if u skate slow then just grab bones red or anything..depends on how u want to go with ur skateboard..

alot of us heard bout it already..Ace truck is a company run by ex-team manager from Independent trucks and for sure they are well known and offcourse better. read the review from skatedaily and u can find it tons in the web bout Ace trucks.. read what they said about it.. alot of my friend using them..and most of them used to be a diehard indy trucks grinders but now they changed their setup to Ace coz they said it's much better...

http://www.skatedaily.net/reviews/archive/...oard_trucks.php
http://www.caughtinthecrossfire.com/skate/product/5476

like i said if u can't find them..it's ok to get Bones stf wheels, destructo trucks, bones red or ceramic bearings..i'm not saying they are not good but not as good if compare to those mentioned name above...that's all..coz since our friend here goin to States..why not get those good stuff that can't get market here in Malaysia..betul tak??..anyway ni just suggestion..it's up to you bro..

i also used 54mm wheels and i d not need the risers..feels comfortable with me... cool2.gif
but u can try it if u like to sharp turning...can prevent your wheels from suddenly stopping while turning
*
If your wheels didn't get wheel bite on your board then u do not need those risers.....but suggest you used a shock pad instead to prevent the strong impact between your board and trucks...

no.. the part where you put the wheels in... Will take a pic later...
Btw, I saw some vids at youtube that shows Bones Swiss bearings are able to spin for like 30-50 sec. But mine can only spin for about 15 sec, is there a problem?
*
it's no problem..the differences is becoz we don't know how hard the guy spin his bearing in that video...in Bahasa means "kita tak tahu kederat or tekanan yg diberi oleh seseorg itu..maybe org dlm video tu spin kuat dari yg awak buat"

the closet i know is in JB and Singapore.... if you can;t find ripstick u can look for T-boards. It's the same only different is the board. But still 2 wheels. It's a carving board actually

View here for t-boards. Saw Disney Channel Singapore few years back with bunch of kids playing it...and according to T-boards, they have distributor in Singapore
