Surprise, surprise the Metal Gear series is back for one final time with a bang....Ok, IGN Uk & IGN Australia gives it 9.9 and 9.5 respectively but the real surprise her is the perfect score given by IGN US(my most favourite site for v'games reviews) and Famitsu(which is becoming less rare now ), while Gamespot is having some problem with Konami review limitations....not every reviews give it that high of a score but critics seems to agree that it is an incredible v'game, and it looks like it is in competition with GTA4 for Game Of The Year......


Snake is back for a finale

Ironically both MGS and GTA last installment was released in the same year....is Kojima taking advantage on the fact that this is probably the last instalment of MGS(98.9 % sure) and probably the series last chance to win GOTY. GTA can still win it in the years or decades to come, can it????....... Well, in my view GTA4 should win since it is not just consindered gaming equivalent to The Godfather but it is also a cultural phenomenon in terms of gross and impact.

Then again it is a pretty sad thing if one of the most defining v'game series of all time and best to many never win Game Of The Year even once, but GOTY should not be given for nostalgic values or should it?????

this is just me but i would rather choose mgs4 over gta4

In my nearly 15 years of gaming, I would have to say nothing tops the experience of Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots, and this is an understatement. Lovers are in love with it, haters should just pcik them up. A fitting end for Kojima's opus. Answered EVERY question since Metal Gear appeare on MSX.

I'll wait until end of the year before crowning any GOTY because preferably, I rather not choose both

But if its down to GTAIV vs MGS4, then MGS4 takes the cake.

Well everyone got their own opinion and I can't deny how incredible MGS4 is. Now the undeniable fact is both series has something huge to lose...this is the last MGS, the series could end without winning any Game Of The Year while for the GTA series can the next one tops number 4...

I'm not so sure if its a big deal if either of them don't win GOTY.

i rate mgs4 over gta 4...but gta a lot of fun...

One thing is for sure...MGS4 boost ps3 sales this 2nd quarter of 2008

As for gross sales overall, it's not surprising of GTA4 winning it since it's released multiplatform.

MGS never won any game of the year award. And that didnt stop Kojima and his team to deliver a topnotch quality game.

for me i choose MGS4.... the story, GFX & gameplay so awesome... im not MGS fan... i never finish play MGS1-3... but when i play MGS4... im totally shock .. coz. i feel.. want to play again MGS1-3 .. ... Kojima do a great job.. & dont care la... win or not GOTY... ..

yes lots of people buy PS3 to play MGS4... ....

I really like MGS4, but man, Mr Kojima writes clunky dialogue. Some scenes are just painful to watch... Maybe it's the translation.

i buy xb360 for game like saint row and other game int he same genre.... thats include gta4... and gonna get ps3 for game like ff series, gow series... but sofar even in the old gen ive never finish mgs game.. hehehe dont know why lol.. the first one i finish to the end is mgs protable ops... hehe great game la.. and when i have this ps3 which is soon i hope.. i gonna get one mgs4... hehehe been waiting quite a while for it anyway.. heehe

if i have to choose who should win.. the my answer would be GTA4... since im a big fan of it since the first one.. hehehe but whoever win dont care much since both is great game...
