Sorry to cut in again...theoretically, should be the same. but TD (Touch Diamond) has a third party battery model, which is much higher capacity. Check this out ----> http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_touch_diamond_...er-news-544.php

Dear friends,

A friend of mine has shortlisted either the HTC Touch Pro or the HTC S740 for his purchase.

But he is still in dilemma, as the major difference is the User Interface between the 2 models, Touch Pro's touchscreen or S740's keypad.

Other than that, what are the other major differences between these 2 models?

Many thanks.

the other major differences are:

touch pro is a fully fledged pocket pc (professional windows) meaning u can get wide array of applications whereas s740 is just a smartphone (standard windows)

touch pro's screen is not only larger (2.8in vs s740 2.4in) but also higher resolution meaning better video playback and image resolution

touch pro has a larger internal (phone) memory

battery capacity is bigger on the touch pro

touch pro has an acclerometer

and finally the BIGGEST difference:

TouchFlo3D which makes easy tasks such as messaging or opening up settings so much easier on the Touch Pro

@dadarouch

He did fill up once on page 49 but still wondering which one to buy.

@allic

Actually I don't like Omnia, sorry I can't explain why, it's a cheap reason. Go to Omnia thread for personal user review.

Anyways, for your question.

I find the Omnia to be alil bit buggy. Spec wise it is okay, but usability it sucks quite bad laugh.gif Moreover the stylus comes not attached. Complete bullsh-t and might be tough on new PDA users smile.gif

You can have a look at a secondhand Asus P320, not the perfect PDA around but for that budget, it could be a great PDA.

I would like to venture an opinion,it seems PDA these days has abandoned IR support,I missed that feature in all WM6 newest PDA.I use IR to be a universal remote and for a secure data connection (line of sight you see). sad.gif
