It's either Panny's BD50 or Sony's S350 / S550 for now.

Most of the 7.1 blu-rays are from Lionsgate, some Chinese and Korean movies are have DTS-MA / PCM 7.1 too but it doesn't mean that you'll be getting 7.1 surround seperation, sometimes, the surround back speakers are as quiet as being inside the library.

This problem alsp happened to my friend, he's using Sony Bravia 32 S400LCD, the problem is something like yours when he's playing his PS3 games via HDMI at 720p. The folks from Sony Centre replaced another unit for him and problem has been solved, he probably got a lemon as such a problem is pretty rare.

It's either this or try using another HDMI cable, inferior HDMI cables could cause this problem too. Hope this helps.

The HD-DVD titles on sale are reasonable but sadly, not all the titles I wanted are available but I got them cheap from eBay UK and Amazon UK. My friend even managed to buy the super rare Ghost Rider and Fantastic Four on hd-dvd with DTS-MA, I think it's either a German or French import. In Japan, they have Underworld on hd-dvd too. That's the good thing about eBay, you can get to buy super rare titles from across the globe.

Does the Sammy have issues with AVP 2 BD? My friend's Sammy has problems playing with this Java heavy movie. It jerks, the audio skips, sometimes can't load pulak. It happens on Panny's BD30 as well but just that, not as serious as Sammy only.
