I seem to be facing some kinda issue after updating the firmware....now whenever i talk on the phone using the earpiece, the sound is sooo soft, even at full volume, i can barely hear anything. Switching over to speakerphone is fine, loud n clear even at vol : 4. But switching back to the phone's earpiece speaker is going back to the problem.

Anyone experienced this??

phone's earpiece problem shouldn't have anything to do with the firmware updates. i think you should head back to the nokia shop at berjaya building floor 13th and ask for hardware checkup. they're very good people. in fact i think they're the only warranty shop who really checks your phone's hardware. the last time i went there they changed my slider twice and its never been this firm before smile.gif good service. highly recommended smile.gif

Disappointing result mad.gif. the service center said that there might be an issues on the software/firmware it self because gps hardware so far there have no complains and they cannot do any flashing because i did an upgrade on the firmware to v11 and currently there is no newer firmware available for flashing.  so they ask me to WAIT for the newer firmware to be out first before thay can do any troubleshooting. cry.gif and there is no guaranty when will it will be publish by nokia cause the latest v11 just came out a week ago......vmad.gif

where on a earth is this...... i pay for a faulty phone and there is no fix available.  :

i did call back the supplier(from LYN) and he said he is unable to do a 1 to 1 exchange for me because i already use the phone with the call duration of 10 minutes and more mad.gif and he say the only option i can choose is to claim the warranty form the respective company. nothing he can do at all.

rclxub.gif  and you know when i check the lifetimer of the phone again it was in 000001:28 (1 hour 28 Minutes) and my total calls duration was 42:09 minutes that means this phone have been used before icon_question.gif .........

Disappointed.... shakehead.gif pay for a faulth AP phone and this is the first and might be the last time i m on AP.... cry.gif

awww...thats very sad to her....like andre said, I sometimes need up to 15 mins to get GPS signal but then once connected and unless u go into tunnel or the sky is blocked, it won't disconnect at all.

if u were to try getting it connected and not moving, will the gps signal disconnect after a while? if it does, then its really funny.

one thing u could to is to full reset the phone and format its memory card. remember to backup the memory card b4 it coz certain ori media will be lost once u format. Then reinstall all the apps such as Garmin.

Also u might wanna try using alternate microSD. The ori microSD that comes with the phone has known to sometimes give weired issues. Worth a try.

yes, it was the antenna connection gap problem between the phone and the casing. so i fix it according to the demonstration in youvideo and i was like MAGIC with the settelite connection lock as fast as 5 seconds. tongue.gif

vmad.gif before i decide to "DIY", I did show the video to the supplier, and he said that the chances of this issue happen is minimal vmad.gif and he said the problem is with the firmware/ software  shakehead.gif ... he suxx alot.  Even the service center technician didnt aware of this issue. mad.gif

wow good news for u bro!! glad u solved your gps by DIY. Can't imagine having your new phone handled by those tech. I m sure it'll come back with more scratches.

After some research on the internet, finally installed Garmin XT into my phone. Im quite impressed with the map being able to show detailed info like petrol station, fast food shops, 7-eleven, hospital/clinic but I think Nokia map did offer something like that too, although not sure about the details.

I have to say Nokia Map is a bit more updated in being to show the road my house is located on while on Garmin, my house shouldnt existed because there is no road into my house. Hahahaha. BTW, I think Garmin really put a lot of effort into the map because I did see the updated name for streets in Jinjang area which werent shown in Nokia Map.

is your Garmin XT loaded with the latest Malsingmaps MAP??? if its not, try that map and tell me which is more up to date. To me, malsingmaps is the best n most up to date for MY and SG. thumbup.gif

did you play any song through your phone while turning on your transmitter?

with FM transmitter you have to be patient, cause sometime it will detect the radio frequency rather than ur transmitter, so set the frequency to highest(107.50MHz, but in KL area i think there is radio station on this frequency) or lowest on your phone then try to search manually through your car radio to match the frequency on your phone and save it to your car radio set. Only the first time it need to be set up, after that it will connect immediately after you play any song.

whenever i use the fm transmitter, there is a "beep" sound from my car speaker. Is this normal or what?
*
beep is when u switched on the fm transmitter and u r not transmitting any music. when u play music, u shouldn't hear any beep anymore.
