in gaming it does, the ngage games on n95 8gb runs smoothly while on other n-series choppy.

i think it also effects image processing that makes the pics a bit better (in my opinion)

in normal operation it does not make much difference

maybe because n85 has fp2 and n95 8gb has fp1 so support a lot more software without probs..

need to wait for sometime to get ahem2 software for fp2

want to ask, if i dont install nokia maps, i can still use garmin right as it is not connected to nokia maps..right?

nokia maps also download la...need to download maps of what country u want.. same as garmin.

if im not mistaken only google maps is real time

BTW, is there a need for antivirus.. i think for normal use no need ..just be mindful la. that's all.

SURE la...i used n81 before.. n81 does not have gps..have only a-gps.

the connection is for A-gps which is faster but uses 3g connection to detect where u are, but will charge u 3g data usage.

If u say don't want to use connection just use the built in GPS which is slower but FREE la..

BTW, i think kaspersky can make ur phone a bit slower laa..

doesn't n85 have voice navigation at all? or maybe for n85 doesn't have that 14-days free?

if im not mistaken there's an app that changes to silent or meeting when the phone is turned face down.

indoors this is very nice but under sunlight very very bad le..unlike normal lcd

i saw some pics with the d-pad (green/red call button) open up from the bottom ..maybe happen to some n85s

n85 can ahem2 ngage or not?

just an info. garminXT has a file named cardrunner that runs automatically to run another file that is linked to it. it runs when your phone is on..regardless of restarting

is uses battery and you can only turn it off with jbak taskman. but it will turn on again. it uses significant amount of battery without u noticing it.

so if you are not using GPS that much or if u care about batt life..then better not install garminXT latest version..the old version better cause the file can be deleted/turned off

i have an n95 8gb and i formatted the memory and reinstalled my firmware to make sure that all traces of garmin is gone.

if for n85 i think u should format the memory card too..(backup whatever u need).

1. uninstall garmin from phone.
2. format memory
3. reinstall new firmware.

that's what i did
