e66 to n85 ..my opinion, more than worth it

fm transmitter, 2.6 amOled screen, radio with RDS, 8gb card included, 5mp camera

or maybe see the 5800xpress music

this phone sound just ok or great?

n85 got fm transmitter, n95 8gb got infrared (can be used to control a tv or radio with irremote)

n85 gor amoled screen, n95 8gb got a bigger screen (bigger is better)

take in mind there's a few problems too with the amoled screen of n85

1. worse when viewed under sunlight...can't see it clearly..worst than most normal lcd phones...

2. oled screens have a much lower lifetime than normal lcd...something like a quarter or so of normal lcd lifetime... i know that some companies already make longer lasting oled but im not sure if nokia used it in n85.

3. if we are viewing movies with dark scenes, it's hard to see the details clearly...

quality wise i think ur friend shouldn't worry, but the seller say like that because he doesn't want your friend to complain to him.. ur friend should ask for an n85 that has NO jawi/chinese etc...

dont need to contemplate anymore...either get the n85 or n95 8gb.. the 5800 has a few hardware problems up it's sleeves..

smashpop reported that his 5800 has a vertical line that wont go away on his lcd

a lot of people in malaysia and all around the world are reporting that the ear speakerphone is going soft when talking on the phone..very hard to hear. the problem is the speaker is either not connecting properly or not attached like it should

other forums also report the lcd going dim when it shouldn't..
i think an n85 or n95 8gb is more durable and would last longer because it's not a touchscreen phone


n85 and n95 8gb has 5mp camera..i need that.. camera wise both are similar and comparable...no need to worry.. both very nice though i can say that the n95 8gb is a bit better because of the numerous firmware updates..

i dont want a phone that break down when it's still new...wtf.

please check your facts mr ivan.. i said a BIGGER SCREEN. n95 8gb has 2.8inch lcd and n85 has 2.6inch...duhh..check dictionary for "bigger" and "screen" and "resolution"

I DID NOT say it has a higher resolution.

2.8 and 2.6 is small on paper but if you see it for yourself the difference is noticable.

the n85 costs a bit more than n95 8gb because n85 is a newer phone. please check the prices and dont just say n95 8gb costs more ..it seems that u r the one that needs to check your facts bcause none of it is right..

build quality of n85, can any users of it please comment..

i just heard that lifespan of oled's are much lower..that's all.

if it's bigger like n96 or n95 8gb then it'll be much better..

i want to ask, is the video recording and video playback smooth? i heard not as smooth as n95 because n95 got dual cpu and 3d accelerator..

what do u mean downgrading? do u have both 5800 and n85 right now?

im still in a dilemma too.. bigger screen or better oled screen

well...that seems quite cheap for ap price.. the price has fallen to the same price as n95 8gb.. make sure you have all included in the set including the 8gb card.

plus it doesn't have jawi/chinese/thai etc keypad.. very nice

some also face lcd probs..

yeah probably so because last week n85's price is about rm100 more than n95 8gb...but i like the look on the n95 8gb, different than my n81.
but i'm more towards n95 8gb cause n85 same design as my n81 and n95 8gb something like rm100 cheaper.



1. n85 has transmitter (can play mp3 through fm radios) and n95 8gb has infrared (can control tv n radio )

2. n85 has 2.6" brilliant/vivid amoled screen and n95 8gb has 2.8" bigger lcd (in real life the size difference is noticeable)

3. Sound/speaker n95 8gb is much better and louder.

4. n85 got better battery life and n95 8gb has 3d accelerator and dual cpu that makes it faster

5. n85 more pocket friendly and n95 8gb camera is better


so it's pretty much the same if compared in terms of features. one have this and the other have that.
