QUOTE(syarz @ Sep 20 2010, 08:50 PM) LOL, my mistake QUOTE(sheng @ Sep 20 2010, 09:12 PM) P/s: on guardiola, no offense but the team is already godlike itself. having messi, xavi, iniesta and eto'o in your team has already make ur job so much easier. nonetheless, still a great manager, perhaps one day will become one of the greatest, but for now still behind veterans like SAF, Lippi, Hiddink and hotshot mourinho , just my humble opinion perhaps you are right..but i wonder why frank rijkaard couldnt win the 6 trophies..some say pep guardiola improves the back four tactic and employ one defensive midfielder instead of one attacking midfielder like deco..so that was why he sold deco to chelsea and bought yaya toure and seydou keita..furthermore, i could see all the players of barcelona like to close down opponents compare with during under frank rijkaard..hope he will come to ac milan and make the same changes..that is what exactly milan need.. anyway i would vote for lippi, but because of the early exit in the world cup..prefer carlo ancelotti.. |

SAF has won more trophies than any manager in the history of English soccer.

I don't see Brian Clough on the list? Took unfancied Derby County into the top flight and won the league title, against the might of Liverpool & Leeds United in the 70's.
Then broke the Liverpool stronghold and won the European Cup TWICE in a row, in 79 and 80, with Nottingham Forest, making it a golden era in English football, with Liverpool winning the European Cup in 77 & 78, Forest in 79 & 80, Liverpool again in 81. And his quotes are almost as good as Shankly, almost... |

QUOTE(disco333 @ Jun 7 2008, 09:10 PM) Wenger built an entire team for less than what Ferguson spent on one player. He has built a squad capable of winning the league by forming a group of young and talented players for a very small amount of money. Name me a manager who could have done that? sorry im not a fan of ManU, but wasnt ferguson use to won the league with a bunch of kids?Added on September 24, 2010, 7:49 pmholly sh*t, i didnt realize how long this thread have been This post has been edited by ghoster: Sep 24 2010, 07:49 PM |
