Just bought my 3rd drybox since my first one in 2007.. It's SunDry brand..

And it's analog, due to budget contraint, cz I'm not spending money on camera, but to my touring bicycle..

The problem is, I got to put the dial to L, then the LED appear.. Of course the humidity rate becomes below 30%!

When I put the dial to M, the LED looks disappear a lil bit before it's fully gone.. Aduh..

It's really different from my previous digital AIPO!

Is my SunDry faulty?

Hi guys, I just bought my first dry cabinet, it's Ailite dry cabinet 30L. There is a dial setting inside the cabinet for L, M and H. So i think it's analog.

However, I have turn it on at H level for 2 days, the meter still reads 55% RH, should i wait for longer? Or any setting that i miss. We should keep the gears at 40-50%, rite? Anyone here familiar with ailite dry cabinet can teach me?

Should i wait any longer, wait till it drops until 45% then only i put my gears in. Or should i dial my setting at M level, which level should i dial?

You can put in the drybox already... 55% is still better than the regular 68% in our climate

I would highly recommend buying a cheap analogue hygrometer , i bought one for Rm5.00 .
I have a Aipo Dry Box, fully electronic, but to be on the safe side, in case , i have put the
Analogue Hygrometer in the dry box.
This is just a fail safe so that i have 2 devices monitoring my Dry Box.

Of course you cant beat the Electronic device, but at least i can make out if
everything is working ok...

hey great idea. where did u get it from ?

it was Best Denki or Denki, the japanese store, that sells cheap stuff..but i checked recently some stores are out of stock..
perhaps you can google and see if others are selling the same..
