hi, i'm new here, planing to buy either htc touch 3g or diamond.....ap or sis ? need some suggestion..... what is the price for both ap and sis now ?
*
Well, i definitely do not recommend buying AP set (if there is even any, most of them are probably imported sets instead of AP) for a touch screen phone due to the LCD warranty. I am personally having some problem with my TD's LCD and will be sending it to SIS for warranty tomorrow. Thank god i did not get one that is imported. smile.gif

i dun believe it came with a dictionary 0_0

It does actually. The Cybertron Talking Dictionary is both, a normal dictionary and one that talks tongue.gif

Anyway, just wondering where can i find official firmware for HTC? Whats the latest? Is it still 1.93? And if i wanted to flash an official firmware myself, how hard would it be?

hi guys, i hv just sold my TP and gotten a used TD  tongue.gif

I noticed that the screen of my TD tends to be yellowish and color is not as bright as TP..i hv even compared it with my tytn ii, this TD is yellowish  sweat.gif

i oso checked the spec of TD, the display is the same as TP..

Every1, is that normal for TD or am i being sensitive  blush.gif

but i really love this slim TD after 2 months of carrying heavier TP  icon_rolleyes.gif

some discussion on yellowish TD screen

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=411487

So, shud i send back to SIS to check?  rclxub.gif
*
Well, on the contrary, something like the iPhone was reported to have a more yellowish screen on the 3G as compared to the 2G version. That was said to be more "natural" colored as compared to the previous version even though the screen specs are exactly the same. Something to do with the White Balance of the screen i believe. Not sure whether this has something to do with the same reason or not cause i never seen a TP screen before.

ANd kinda saw somewhere before on those MobilePhone magazine that there is more than just white. Somehow, i still remember there is around 7 colors available for TD. hmm.gif

I realise before i sent my phone to warranty is that the old Touch Flo interface seems to be slightly nicer than the old one. I mean, there is more motion when switching from one tab to another as compared to the newer firmware.

hey guys....so far htc td very good in everything ? planning to get a td from digi. only 1299......just want some opinion from all pro bro here...
*
There's some pros and some cons. It depends on how you look at things. Nothing is perfect anyway. LOL....For me, except for the battery life being abit too short, and some memory leak, its a good phone. Nice looking all rounder as well tongue.gif

Does anyone facing GPS problem on the TD? Mine one need very long time to locate the satellite on MAPKING lar, sometimes need up to 30 minutes, what is hapeening to my TD GPS? I have tried to use Google Map and it is worse, unable to find GPS device. I really have no idea what is wrong with my TD. sad.gif
*
Pretty much the same on mine as well. Took around 15mins in car to really locate the satelite on MapKing. Tried it directly outdoor and would probably take around 5 - 10mins.

Tried that in my home before as well and i am sure it took over 30mins to locate. LOL...

For Google Map wise, i believe you will need to setup the GPS device first via the Google Map Options for it to work.

im sorry to heard tat, anyway, how long u send to sis for warranty alrdy?
*
Probably 2 weeks. During the Christmas period though, so i doubt SIS will be that "hardworking" in helping me fix the phone. I didnt send it directly to SIS as well, through a local shop. Anyway, will be giving them till next week before i make a call over and ask regarding the status. Cant wait for the phone to be back. LOL...

Oic, thanks alot. Will try and take note on the phone though.

Regarding the bluetooth, i once have problem with my Jabra BT2010. I paired the phone but everytime when i start up the device, it just wont be auto detected by the TD. I need to manually pair it every single time. However, after i flash the firmware to the Dutty's ROM, its automatically paired. Not sure whats the problem there though.

anyone can help to solve my TD memory leak problem beside flashing my stock rom to cooked rom? (need softreset a least twice a day)
cry.gif

What version of firmware you are using?

There is no fix in the memory leak issues. I am frustrated with it as well when i have it. Even flashed mine to cooked ROM but that didnt help too much either.

I am previously on that version as well and i know how bad the memory leak issue is for me. LOL..At second day, it would hang and memory on standby would be at 62% at least. LOL...

People recommended me to flash it to Cooked ROM but to be honest, it doesnt really help. Well, yes, the memory might be less by a lil bit but still very annoying. Dont think it can be solved unless HTC comes out with a new firmware.
