your calendar thing is a known issue. check XDA. Hard-spl bypases spl check when u try to flash a cooked rom or a rom from overseas. without hard-spl, flashing such roms may spoil your device. u can read up on the how tos in XDA forum, or if you're lazy, feel free to PM me, i offer the service too.
java games = wont work, u dun have a T9 hardware keypad. so dont bother.
Well, after a few tries, i finally understand why i could copy those JAR programs into my phone. The name is TOO LONG. LOL..java games = wont work, u dun have a T9 hardware keypad. so dont bother.
For some reason, if the name is too long, it just wont be transfered into the phone. Renaming it into a shorter form will allow it to be transfered into it. Tried installing a few games that was said to be working on the TD. None loaded successfully. Gave up on that. Just thinking whether there is any good games recommended on the TD so that i can play them when i have some free time

I went to Lowyat Plaza to get a HTC earphone. FM with RDS works like charm with good sound quality. I thought my 838 pro headset does not have antenna lead connection. I came back home happily. CRAP! No reception in Puchong! TD FM radio reception sucks man! Wasted my money buying original HTC earphone.
SPL is a mechanism that loads your operating system, just like how we have BIOS in our computer. With the original SPL, your phone cannot be programmed with another OS ROM in the recovery mode (in case of flashing failure). With HardSPL, the phone can be flashed in tricolour boot mode. Hence, making flashing slightly fail proof.
Radio ROM is the firmware for GSM/WCDMA chipset. It controls every parameter of your PDA's radio including power and frequency. If you experience poor signal quality with the PDA, a new radio ROM may help, but it's not necessary the newest radio ROM that helps. Sometimes downgrade is necessary. Please flash radio ROM cautiously because in case of any failure, even the most godlike HardSPL won't help. It will make your Diamond a phoneless PDA. No one reported JTAG connection for diamond yet, so it may be very very difficult to recover.
Do you have Jblend? Install your Java application through that supplied software.
Thanks for the tips given. Now i realise whats the difference. So, in that case, we need to perform a HARD SPL before we could install "third party ROM"? I believe its called Cooked ROM or something similar right?SPL is a mechanism that loads your operating system, just like how we have BIOS in our computer.
