how come sometimes my wifi suddenly disconnect then i press the internet there i can see my digi edge is running..means it automatic change use my digi to connect interenet???then it will cost my digi line????can i do setting that oni use wifi for internet??
*
This is what i do to prevent my TD from using 3G for Data Connection.

Goto : Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Advanced -> Select Networks

And change the first part which says connect to internet using ..... to My Work Network. That way, its always connecting via WiFi instead of 3G.

I've just installed mapking into my TD, now the problem is how to use it? Is there any setting i need to set or configure? I'm new to this software, please advise, thank you....
*
Well, for the first, you will need to configure your GPS to COM4. I had this problem as well last time but baronic gave me the tips. Start the Mapking program, click on Maps, then click on the Tools button at the bottom left corner of screen. Click on GPS/Track, and set the GPS Setting to "By User" to COM4.

Haha, I never used key lock. Just push the power button. biggrin.gif
*
I do this as well. Better than the KeyLock cause i use to put sound whenever i touch the screen, and when using Keylock, it still makes sound whenever you touch the screen.

Whee.. My diamond is unvirginised at last. Tried Dutty's ROM. It's fast but somehow it looks ugly.
*
Ugly?In what sense?

However, i am still facing memory leak and hang issues even on Dutty's ROM. Thinking of flashing it back to original ROM already.

I also wan to know how serious for a TD when drop to the floor. is there only damaged the phone surface and cover or the whole phone cant function anymore?  sad.gif
*
I dropped mine before on the tar road. sad.gif Due to the lousy pouch i got when purchasing the phone. Everything seems ok except for the plastic at the charger port area. Paint peeled and dented slightly.

sorry to heard tat, then u going to change ur cover?
*
Well, problem is, its not part of the cover. If you look at the battery charger port part, i hit that plastic piece there.

I believe its the pouch being abit too loose. So, stay away from loose pouch and get something better. Looking forward to getting the SIS pouch but do not have the money now tongue.gif

Well, i am starting to get real frustrated with my TD with lagging and hang issues. Do any of you have the same problem or its the problem with mine only? Does the TP have similar issues?

Well, my original screen protector is starting to have dust issues as well at certain corners. Time to look for some cheapo screen protector now i guess. LOL...

Just checking here,

Anyone here has problem with the LCD of the TD? I peeled off my screen protector yesterday due to some reason and when i look at the screen at a certain angle, it seems there is a square shaped thing right at the center of the screen.

Its like a rectangular shaped oil smudge behind the screen. Sorry cant take picture of it as it only appears at a certain angle. Does anyone knows whats that and is it covered under warranty if its indeed a defect?

@akachester, sounds like glue from the screen protector. try wiping with a wet tissue, will take some time. i had that effect before when i tried to use cellophane tape to clean my diamond screen and it left behind the glue
*
Well, it doesnt seem to be glue though. Anyway, just for a more detailed explanation of the problem (hope you guys understand), if you press a finger on a certain LCD screen, there will be some kind of color saturation around your finger area right? Thats what happening to my TD's LCD even without being pressed though.

I tried wiping it out but it does seem to be internal instead of external.

*
Well, do HTC carry warranty for LCD?

Another problem i am facing currently. Whenever i plug my TD to a PC/Laptop via the USB cable, a screen will pop out from my TD, asking me to install a program (GarminXT to be exact). Why is it keep popping out and how could i cancel it permanently? Even i said No, the next time i plug into another PC, it will pop out again.

Btw bro, might need you to restore SPL for me though before sending it over to SIS. Do not want to give them any reason not to fix the phone though. LOL...

Gombak. LOL...!

Anyway, SIS wanted me to bring over my phone, together with warranty card and proof of purchase. Do they mean they wanted the bill as well? Why do SIS need that anyway?

I just purchased a brand new HTC Diamond with 2 yrs warranty fr SIS thru DIGI package.
Everything is fine about the Ph. but the battery life sucks. With average usage I still need to charge it everyday.

Am I the only one having this problem or is it norm with the Diamond.?  mad.gif

My previous Ph. is the HTC S730 but never encounter this prob.  vmad.gif
*
Well, thats practically one of the problem discussed before for this phone. I am having practically the same problem as well needing to really charge the phone everyday tongue.gif Not sure why they cant include a better battery into the package.

then purchase another extended battery with 1350mAh, then all ur problem solved.  FYI, extended battery review is posted by baronic before in tis thread...
*
Yea, saw and touch his extended battery before and seems like going to be a good purchase. Just concern about the size cause i dont like causing my TD to be slightly bulkier tongue.gif If only there is any extended battery that is same size as the original one. Asking too much i guess tongue.gif

Hi, how can I disable my htc diamond for automatically use HSPDA, 3G or GPRS for downloading data even I'm using my wifi at that time?

It sucks RM 10 for 2 days.
*
Well, i personally uses a few options.

First, i am not sure whether this is available on original ROM or not but its available at my Dutty's ROM. In Settings tab, i switch off the 3G setting in order to prevent it from connecting to 3G.

Second, i have a NoData program installed that allow me to toggle between allowing or disabling 3G/Data connections via the phone.

Third, change your connection setting to My Work Place. To do this, go to START -> Settings -> Connections Tab -> Connections -> Advanced -> Select Networks -> My Work Network.

However, by using the 3rd option, you will never be able to connect again via 3G/HSDPA etc until you change back it to original setting.
