Finally got my TD HardSPL and flash to Cooked ROM today by Baronic. Memory leak issues are less but still there. However, it does seem a lil bit better than the original ROM.

Alot more customization in this version. Thanks alot to Baronic for all the tips today tongue.gif

Anyway, anyone care to let me know whats the name of the program that was suppose to stop 3G connection? I had that program last time to prevent the problem of TD connecting via 3G to download stuff but kinda forgot the name though.

It should magically work as long as you get connected via activesync.

yeah i did the same way.. cause i search thru the web.. in fact it should be just plug n wah la.. internet run on diamond.. but when i do so..i saw my Maxis network running.. then i click it ( on top the network bar ) i saw the Maxis 3g is counting the seconds im in de.. so it means it charging ? or is just a second counter..

Is it mean im being charged by Maxis for the data ? cause i see Maxis Internet - seconds is running.. is it normal if using active sync to connect internet by using Diamond? if its normal means i scared hell of myself..

perhaps how do i see if its charging me ? what does u guys shown when connected internet using active sync ? does the icon also shown the same ? the network bar just change to 3G then Data On.

No, that's not normal. You are being charged by maxis for the data transfer. But not to worry much, it doesn't count by time. You need to disable that allow wireless thingy if you do not want the PDA to connect to 3G. Your PDA is not getting the internet connection via activesync like usual.

Omnia 8GB and HTC touch diamond are at the same price, definitely a hard choice. At a glance, the Omnia wins diamond on specifications. Omnia has twice the internal storage, almost double camera resolution (5MP vs 3MP) and a WVGA (compared to diamond's VGA). Add another RM200 and you can get a 16GB Omnia. It all boils down to compatibility. If you're a person who loves to try out softwares and ROM, Omnia doesn't have that flexibility because we lack developers who uses an Omnia or to the extend of, a device with WVGA. But if you don't mind waiting, or wouldn't even care much about softwares availability, Omnia is definitely a reasonable choice.

Omnia is WQVGA

Diamond has a better camera than Omnia (some forummer reviewed it before)

I thought of getting an extended battery but after a while, I decided not to. The first day I bought the PDA, the battery lasted me for 6 hours only. Second day onwards, it lasted for one whole day with some excess left. Yesterday, the power is sufficient for 2 days usage. Today, there's still 8 bars left although it's night time. The battery lasting longer and longer. laugh.gif
