Hi, Im about 40 yrs old seeking some info from here.
1. should i try to get pregnant at this age, which i really hope too.
2. Is there any way to test the chances/percentage of getting down syndrome child?
3. If yes, Where and what kind of specialist should i look for?
*
1. Shouldn't have any issue. I got pregnant at age 34 by calculating the ovulation release time. And thank god that I got pregnant just that very first month I stated the plan. Stay positive

3. I heard from my friend that is one very good Chinese Physicians at Endah Perade, need to make appointment and not cheap. Her friend tried many methods and even tube also failed. That time she gave herself a try to this Chinese physician and really works for her. Now she is mum of 3 kids. If you do not wish to have those western medicine with side effects.

Another famous gynecologist is Dr Tan Ee Ping from CT clinic at Seri Kembangan. TV8 used to interview her with different topics. She will organize free talk about HypnoBirthing and water birthing every 3 months. You can follow her CT clinic Facebook. She encourages natural birth. She was the one helped me turn my baby head from top to bottom 180degree to engage pelvis at month 8 in order for me to have natural birth.

But most of the time, I understand this is recommended by the doctors and doing caesarean is more billable I suppose. How do I know when I should insist of natural rather than going under the knife and docs are always trying to convince you at that time.

Just want to know, when giving birth, do you prefer natural delivery or caesarean?

I note that nowdays a lot of woman go under the knife altho they can deliver naturally.

Hello.. I need some guidance here.. My wife is pregnant currently, at around 7 weeks. Actually, last 3 weeks she went for a job interview, and smoothly, she got the job.

But very very honest, neither of us knew she was pregnant at the time (should be 4 weeks at the time). The company gave her the offer letter on the next week, before I took her to clinic because she was having indigestion and discomfort to her stomach. Thats when we knew she was pregnant.. The doctor scanned her but failed to show us the fertelized egg due to my wife's empty stomach, discomfort due to 'wind'. We should check back within 2 weeks.

So then she consult her current officemates about her situation and all of them positively suggest her to tell her soon to become new employer regarding this. So, being naiive ourselves, I decided we should be really honest with her new employer, we told them about her situation. Which, I just learned today, was a huge mistake..

They retracted her offer letter even last time they eagerly wanted her with their company. I don't really sure what I'm seeking as answer here, but I'm very dissapointed for the incidents as we try to be as honest as we can, and was hoping they at least consider to put her up to 12 months probation due to her situation. But instead, they took the most inconvenient decision. This fairly put lots of pressure to my wife because she really can't stand her current employee (1 month late salary, some other internal problems) and she already submitted her resignation letter a day after she received her offer letter.

May I have any advice, how should I help her? What can I do to comfort her. She's been crying this whole day. I'm typing this after I just put her to sleep. Any advice? I look online just now.. Maybe we took a very bad decision when we told the new company regarding her status.. How do soon-to-be moms do job hunting? I read online (not Malaysia) one lady advice only let employee know after 1st trimester (except for pregnancy-risked jobs obviously, but not my wife's offered pos..)

Thanks

1st of all, congrats. I'm not good at giving advice but to me ur wife's pregnancy is the most important now for you couple. If you can afford 1 income, i guess it'll be better for her to stay at home during this period. stress is not good for her. if you can't afford, try make some lifestyle changes, use savings or even get help from parents if staying with current employer is not an option. good luck bro

Thanks bro. Actually I want to suggest her to proceed with her resignation. We do have plan to start small time business, but since we didn't yet started, I knew she wouldn't want to stay at home. Everything is fine by me for her to quit her job, just we have to find a bit cheaper place to live. Just she insist to work to have some extra saving.

Today she told me her current manager tried to convince her to stay, as her MD also wants her to stay since she have experience there more than her manager and everyone else in her dept. We'll discuss again tonight.

Thanks for your input. Cheers icon_rolleyes.gif

I guess that part would be great. then she can let the MD knows about her concern and negotiate a bit just so she can have less stress at work and still maintain her job. win win situation. all the best thumbup.gif

Hi, my wife is pregnant with second baby and went for her 33th week (as per scan is 32W5D) checkup last Saturday. During the Ultrasound, the doctor detect abnormality on one of the baby's kidney. she suspect Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney but need to do detail scan for sure on this 29th December.

anyone has experience on this?

I had an unprotected sex with my partner 2 weeks ago. In fact, he didn't ejaculate in me but he pulled out. As I read some articles about pull out method, there are chances that the pre-cum may contain sperm. Moreover, I was on my ovulating time; high chance of getting pregnant.

After 2 weeks, I feel quite weak and tired. I felt dizzy and eventually almost fainted yesterday. Feel bloating and lack of appetite.

Last 2 days, I have been experiencing clear watery discharge which I have never experienced before and it is getting thicker and creamier with cottage cheese looking. Seems like always in a wet condition.

My period is expected to arrive in 5 days time. Am very worried if it doesn't come which means I may be pregnant.

Could someone please advise me? I know I should wait for my next period but am really worried now.

Ya..my wife has successfully delivered healthy baby boy on 23 jan. smile.gif
Doc says it is not Multicystic Diplastic Kidney. during the pregnancy, perhaps it just urine reflux that cause the urine to reenter kidney and cause the kidney to swell a bit.

doc says to monitor whether he has problem to pee but so far it is ok. now to monitor jaundice since it is prolonged. reading already low but since more than 14 days, doc need to check his liver function. result will come this Wednesday
