Let's say you bought 2,000 shares of company ABC at $5 apiece on Monday, which is known as T+0. That is a paper cost of $10,000. By Thursday - three days after Monday or T+3 - you would have to sell those 2,000 shares.

Assume you sold them at $5.30 by T+3. That is a total of $10,600 giving you a profit of $600 before fees and charges.

You also do not need to stump up cash of $10,000 to pay for the shares.

However, if you sold the 2,000 shares at $4.80, you would have to pay for the losses as your selling price is lower than the purchase price. So your loss before brokerage fees in this case is $400 ($10,000 - $9,600).

Still holding on to all my MBB bought last year, even before any Covid appear. Not going to sell it although my ABP is high at 9.08. I believe in the fundamentals and growth of Malaysia's biggest bank. Some may argue that MBB's assets are riskier, but I feel that for a bank that has been growing for the past 60 years since it was founded in 1960, they would have made provisions for the riskier assets.

I am just waiting to collect more dividends only as I foresee the dividends would return back to normal rate of at least 55 sen. That would still give me a 6% yield.

Daily chart looks like no demand to me. Price unable to break high with diminishing volume - which translates to no demand at this price at this moment. This is totally understandable given that it jumped 6% in a day pn 11 Dec.

I am still bullish on the long term. Just within this short period of time, consolidation/pull back will be expected. Same for other counters in finance index as well.
