ETF is buying a fund which has pool of stocks so your risks are diluted compared to individual stock. gains also diluted.  yes correct. but usually people buy ETF to hold not for active trading.

If wanna buy Malaysia ETF can just use the usual brokers, hong leong, rakuten etc.
Stashaway and Wahed.. one year in.. lowest went to -20% back in march..now SA gain 12%, wahed gain 20%.. just by doing nothing and deposit every month. can sleep at night peacefully

On the other hand other banking blue chips perform better.

Look at the past 4 quarters result, current NP is already back to normal. Well, it seems that less portion of the profit is allocated into loan loss provision this quarter.

It plunged so much last time because people were creating fear about the NPL. I kept mentioning the loan loss provision most banks made already took the NPL into account. Congrats to everyone who managed to buy cheap due to the fear created by the seasoned investors

My take is today is last day of Nov. Meaning it's Msci rebalancing day. Chances are some large ETFs are selling the large cap banks, PBB. Maybank, Cimb because of change to EM index. In other years, domestic insti will sapu, but maybe the recent strong price run up makes them reluctant to sapu. Also absence of short sell perhaps make the drop worse this year.
