hahaha true true.

can I trouble you to run another simulation, not on MBB nor any of the hot stocks out there.

But on United Plantation, it is indeed a very boring stock with very low market liquidity, would you please?

Maybe we can move this particular conversation to your bwc tered. Resume conversation on this there.

Maybank emailed me asking if want to reinvest my dividends.

question: I thought Malaysia Bursa only allows buying/selling of minimum 100 shares per lot? So if let's say I get these stocks via reinvestment but is less than 100 shares, then later how to sell ya if one day I decide to do so? (example remaining 60 shares).

sell in the odd lot market, with not so favourable prices and high trading/transaction fees.

Searched for United Plantation in this forum and found this thread

Additional info from their company
Based on their strong balance sheet, looks like no problem for them to give out nice dividend
*
Yes, they've been paying very very good dividends, yield of easily 8% pa.

you can check their historical trends.

i plan to cash out cause doesn't make sense for me to pay additional rm15 fee for my low volumn

well, that's why this is the purpose of reinvesting, compounding and watch the magic unfold in years to come.

more so, you're able to reinvest at 8.28 per share vs share price now (at the time of writing this) at 8.92 per piece, this gives 7.2% discount immediately. Not to forget these shares earns you more and more dividend (and capital appreciation too).

so long (or at least) your total discounted amount equals the amount of fees that you pay, i think it makes perfect sense to reinvest. I have been reinvesting since many years ago and easily accumulated some 300 or 400 shares (i cant remember) from the scheme over the past few years. now i appreciate them having this kind of scheme.

RM13 fees? just assume that you've consumed a cuppa boba tea or equivalent. that's it. what's 13 bucks nowadays? that's like one lunch at kopitiam nowadays.

Besides from maybank, are you holding this stock as well for dividend?
*
ya holding and will accumulate further.

it's a no brainer stock, much better than FD. will not sell unless there's huge fundamental flaw to it, or to the macroeconomics or their industry.

Should I put 10k monthly into only Maybank or split it up to MBB, CIMB, RHB in equal percentage just in case one of them bankrup.

I'm not good at predicting share price. Only know they all make profit and all pay about 5% dividend. better than FD.

if you want to diversify, suggest to look into other sector, than diversifying into other banks in this case.

suggest you look at UP, i like their dividend yield (at my entry price point).

No one can really predict share price i think.
