Just use the themes. They have different colours so you just switch between them. Should be able to spot any dead pixels with that.

No such adaptor? hmmmm how about SD to CF? i know shashinki.com sells them but i'm looking for other alternatives.

are you sure there are 5 stuck/dead pixels? if it is only 1 or 2 then it is still acceptable. at least for me. more than 3 is quite serious moreover this a new unit. you should ask for an exchange maybe?

my psp came out with a stucked/dead green pixel after 2 weeks usage..

Yup, the reason I went to buy at SonyStyle because of its warranty coverage and everything original instead of possibility of getting "water unit". Anyway, believe it or not it is still cheaper to buy at SonyStyle HK compared to those plazas like LYP type at Sham Shui Po, Mong Kok, Causeway Bay and Wan Chai sweat.gif.

SonyStyle already explained to me via the email I sent to them, they said that current technology doesn't 100% can produce a LCD without dead/white pixel. So that's the reason they doesn't include dead/white pixel in their warranty scheme even the 7 days 1 to 1 exchange warranty. I accept this explanation, but still they suppose to explain when I'm purchasing the unit and not when I come back to them.

Well, they still grant me an option to exchange it but for ONE LAST TIME at SonyStyle. Only maximum two units will be showed to me and I'll given to choose between my current unit and the new units. If the two new units containing dead/white pixel as well, I need to select one among the three sweat.gif

How much you bought it? Bronze Matte price is a little extra expensive than other colours here but all is same for SonyStyle unsure.gif

I tried with the themes, but isn't the themes got white stripes in it? And the place is bright, so it is sorta difficult for me to properly check it sad.gif

Yupz, very sure and I also doesn't want to believe that my 1st unit containing 5 white pixels! I changed for another unit now and it contain only one white pixel. Quite tiny, but when you know there is one... you will always notice it doh.gif

I downloaded the dead pixels checker photos and it only visible when it is black. Other colours wouldn't be able to see it. So, do you think I should put my "gamble" to get it changed for ONE LAST TIME or just accept the one tiny white pixel? Location is middle... top a bit and left side.

I already downloaded the dead pixel checker photos and saved in my MSPD. If I'm going for one last exchange, of course I'll test kao kao there before leaving. Well, they grant me for another time of exchange is already very good service they provide. Isn't I mentioned in my post that actually this dead/white pixel doesn't included in their warranty scheme? So if the two units also got dead/white pixel, I need to choose one among the three.

Well if it was me I won't accept it.
If the dead pixels happen after a long time of usage i think it is ok but not the moment i pay them. You don't go in a shop and buy a half eaten nasi lemak rite?? hahahaha

Alternatively you can question them that why none of the units in that branch is ok? Don't tell me they have 0% good units. If so ask them to get it from another branch since it is sony style they should be able to(even if not they should be able to reject defects to the distributor).
