My theory lar, Love = patience + sacrifice.

Taming robos = needs lots of love = high levels of (patience + sacrifice)

The taming is not easy and sometimes may even feel fed up. But must sacrifice lor. At the end when you're able to reach the results ar, very very rewarding o. Ever had 5 robos trying to swarm into your hand to be taken out and played with? You will love the experience.

Petshop robos are like this. those I breed myself have higher tolerance to being handled since I do it all the time since they are young. It's not always that e get to buy a robo that is receptive to its owner. Like my Yuu. Don like my hand after 6 months. Rasa mau menangis la sometimes when see it like that. But I don't blame it lar.

Robos was also my first hamster. But I chose it because it can live in small groups. The first female I bought was very courageous and receptive to human contact. The male that I bought for her is not. So her children end up got 2 non receptive and 1 receptive. So tameness is also genetics I guess. So tried to breed the tame gene but only as much as I can keep. The non-receptive can also become receptive through frequent handling of the owner/breeder. Just takes a longer time than those that are naturally receptive.

I remembered my first baby robo who climb on my hand straight away during the first time I try to handle the babies. Melted my heart and poisoned me like anything.

yeah! i just got myself a cute sable banded syrian. hopefully not another mouse look syrian. wahahhaha.... i didnt intend to get a syrian from the shop. i just drop by after buffet dinner, then i saw her. so adorable and the cutest hamster in whole of melaka. kaka... so i straight grab her. =.=

Not so exagerating la! But i wish I was. Then Yuu no need to be so scared of my hand. How long have you been handling your robo?

1 month....still the robos are afraid of me.... T.T .....but i got a male who is very brave.....he stayed the longest on my hand...hehehe

muahahahaha guess what, i forgotten about my mealworms for 2 days cause i had to keep my mealies at a secluded spot, afraid that my mummy would kill me if she finds out. >< (worst mealworm owner on earth) andddd, IT GREW SO FATTT. roar so happy. XD



i also found 2 pupae's! looks kinda scary tho. =/

and today i was busy editing my hamster bin cage! the outcome isn't very neat cause i didn't have much equipments.

Then I suggest you work on the bravest. When the other hamsters see that the brave hamster is nt getting hurt, they also will become brave. Put some ood in the centre of your hand and leave your hand in the tank. make them climb on only can get the food. After a while they will know hand = not dangerous = got many things to eat. Then they will all scramble for your hand. hehe...

@Neshie: Wat you feed your mealies? Look so fat!! I also hide hide my mealies. I put it next to my fish tank so my mum and dad don't notice. My mum thinks worms are dirty and my dad don't like me to feed live food to my pets.

taming any type of hamsters are indeed need patience. but the reward is great, the feeling when the hamster climb to the hand really cannot be describe.

i'm studying in uni la...so i meant was i can put my books inside (after cleaning) and take the container wit me home la...hehehe....good idea.....i haf an OVO pad....and i dun wish to get another... T.T bankrupt.....i will get tat container like urs instead and made it into a cage........hehhee

oohh. dun put ur books lah, sakit hati if u work so hard to build the cage den put books later on. hahahaha. XD
