Air Asia still profitable compare to others, probably brand name already etched into every one of us, as every one can fly.....
these days, we have more choice like Malindo, Firefly....... remember AA paid out special dividend last time....... so should there be any dividend ...
any one can share their analysis or their instinct

Airasia biggest problem is Indonesia's non-stop losing.

Airasia Philippine facing fierce competition from Cebu Pacific as well until Airasia have to start shrink Philippine domestic flight to cut lose.

In short term , most likely won't see profit from Airasia India

The initialization of Airasia Japan will contribute to extra loses as well.

Good for long term and as for short term , why not going for other stock first?

AirAsia says leasing arm worth prospective U$1 billion if listed

AirAsia Bhd.’s newly independent jet- leasing arm is a potential candidate for a stock exchange listing that could command half the value of its $2 billion airline operation, Chief Executive Officer Tony Fernandes said.

Free cash-flow of about $40 million to $50 million will be generated in the spun-off unit’s first few years, before expanding toward $100 million as it taps demand for planes from airlines in China and Africa, Fernandes said in an interview.

Asia’s biggest low-cost airline said last month it would transform a leasing business that supplies aircraft mainly to subsidiaries into a standalone operation called Asia Aviation Capital Ltd.

AirAsia Bhd has proposed to establish the Sukuk Mudharabah Programme of up to RM1 billion in nominal value, as part of its funding plan, where up to 55% or RM550 million shall be utilised to part finance its capital expenditure (capex) requirements.

In a filing today to the stock exchange, AirAsia said the capex requirements were pursuant to, without limitation, its aircraft purchase programme – where deposits and/or contributions are required for the transaction and purchase of the relevant spare parts.

The proceeds raised from the Sukuk Mudharabah Programme – the unrated subordinated perpetual sukuk based on the Shariah Principle of Mudharabah – shall be utilised by AirAsia for Shariah-compliant purposes, said the low cost carrier.

Meanwhile, AirAsia said RM300 million has been set aside to refinance its banking facility granted to the issuer.

Other utilisation of proceeds include up to RM2.5 million in estimated expenses relating to the Sukuk Mudharabah Programme, with the remaining balance to be utilized for Shariah-compliant working capital purposes to support its business operations, administrative and operating expenses.

The stock price rose 20 cents from 2.40 to 2.60 as of now, and still rising since today morning. Any reason for this sudden surge? I can't seem to find any news regarding this.

Target price on the warrants?

I dun have enough bullets to buy the mother share,
so am eyeing the warrants, lol

Just to confirm, if the opening price is .135, how low can it go within a day?
Can the price drop to half ? Or does the 3O% cap applies to warrants too ?
