what is fresh grad first class pay nowadays in intel...

Any info comparing Intel vs Altera? for fresh grads
*
Intel has high basic pay with others stuffs like bonus, profit sharing, free fruits, and many other freebies given. Altera, on the other hand, has even higher basic pay but they do not have big bonus like Intel. Overall, when flattened over a year, the difference isnt that much.

I've got a couple of friends working in Intel, Penang and Kulim. It seems like Intel is almost always hiring. I personally got 2 offers from them also  hmm.gif
Wonder if they are constantly expanding or turnover is happening. But it seems like retrenchment is not as severe as it used to be back then. Semicon industry is growing!

It's a norm in the industry to have attrition and hiring. When certain projects are killed or divisions are defunct, layoffs will happen and when new business units are formed, new talents are needed. That's how a company survives. smile.gif

Hi Chipz. Sorry to barge. Got a call from one of the HR about my resume to be sent to the hiring manager for a different role than I applied for. I would like to contact her more on the role that was mentioned, and tried calling back the number but was directed to an automated call requiring an extension. Any chance I could be able to connect to her?
*
By 'her', are you referring to the HR or hiring manager? Do you happen to have her name?

I can see so many managers still hiring interns left and right. Have you tried using LinkedIn to reach out to recruiters/prospective managers? If your resume good, should be no problem
*

There are always people leaving and hiring will be needed. It's a virtuous cycle

Hello there anyone still at Intel know which departments suited for E&E Engineers?

Anyone mind spending their day telling fresh grad their job scope?
Really curious how Intel works.
*
E&E is such a wide scope. Most employees here have background in E&E

Is Intel very robust in software field? Or their software production just for making internal software (ala maintenance)?
*
What's your definition of robust? Yes, Intel does provide a lot of external software, not just for internal consumption

PSG is Alterra. Intel bought over Alterra in 2015. Now they are known as Intel Programmable Solutions Group producing FPGA and Custom logic/SoC products.

As for the environment, you will get different answers from different people regarding it unless you can be more specific on what you trying to know/find out. Generally, I would say it has a good working environment.
*
True, I'd say working environment varies greatly according to business nature (i.e RnD vs Sales vs Manufacturing vs Validation) as opposed to different groups within Intel
