Depends how you get rejected.  sweat.gif
They give you a link, when you clicked enter, and tell you straight in your face, you're not eligible.

Otherwise, you applied all the way through and get filtered by some HR I guess...?

I did not apply since I just 2.5 years working in Intel. (1.5 years in PSG)...
If I go, package doesn't sounds too good. Despite getting 2-3 months salary  sweat.gif
But unable to be in Intel for a year.

So far I like the company. Just abit tiring with the VSSs/CPMs happening throughout 2022/23...  rclxub.gif
If I get CPM/VSS not sure where I'll be next  mega_shok.gif

Since I feel everything now I do is just half-bucket of water.  shakehead.gif

Come to my company, maybe can get 20-30% jump smile.gif

Need 3 days onsite. Minus off all other allowances and subsidy (Meal, Wi-Fi, Toll, Mileage, Car interest, free gym and personal training consultations)  My guess is nett increase of around 10-15%? I wouldn't call that good enough.

Also recently Jim Anderson no longer the CEO. How do you feel about that? I think he was instrumental in Lattice's current success (Stock price concurs its a big loss). And with AMD and Altera both shifting focus back into low-end and mid-range FPGAs, do you think Lattice stands to hold its own in the long term?
*
Meal, Wifi, toll, gym subsidy I would say are miniscule compared to the overall package, again depending on your job grade as different grade has different benefits. Stock price drop due to the departure of CEO is not uncommon. Stock price drop due to sub-optimal company's performance is more worrying

Intel Monday announced CEO Pat Gelsinger has resigned after a difficult stint at the company. The once-dominant chipmaker’s stock cratered as it missed the AI boom and was surpassed by most of its rivals.

Gelsinger took over as Intel’s chief executive in February 2021, returning to the company at which he had spent decades of work, including as chief technology officer. He had left Intel for a stint as CEO of software giant VMWare.

At Intel, Gelsinger was tasked with turning around the iconic American tech giant that was struggling against unprecedented competition, production delays and the departure of top talent. But during his tenure, the company’s prospects continued to decline, as it became clear the company had fallen behind on another major technology wave and despite billions of dollars in US government spending to support its domestic chip manufacturing.

Intel’s (INTC) stock plunged 61% during Gelsinger’s tenure. The stock rose 4% in premarket trading.

The company announced in August that it would lay off 15% of its staff as part of an effort to slash $10 billion in costs and “fundamentally change the way we operate,” as Gelsinger said at the time.

To be fair, a lot of semiconductor companies are doing retrenchment, not limited to Intel.
AMD too is doing the same, just that the scale is much less compared to Intel

I'm just downsizing to a smaller room since I hardly be here, as my rent gone up.

Altera still hasn't requested employees to go back to the office? Is this for long term?

What are top Gs? Top Guns?

need Chipz to comment on Lattice I guess.

What about the PFCC / Selangor IC Design Park bunch from Oppstar, SkyeChipe, MaiStorage, etc...

3.5 years in Intel (IPG+PSG), 0.5 years in Altera.

I haven't reach RM 6k.
Fresh Grads are paid higher than me, those with Masters RM 7k...

Meanwhile I do burst liver monkey work RM 5k for near 4 years...
*
Lattice is still hiring, although not as much as before as we have just opened another office in India, so more headcounts go into there as well

India Engineer good? from my company experience, don't have good impression.

For semicon/VLSI/IT field, India has a large talent pool and the cost is still relatively low which is why many companies are opening sites there.
Whether Indian engineer is good - look at the CEO of Google, Microsoft, Micron, Cadence etc

Checking in. Soon to be ex-Altera engineer.

New CEO ask to RTN (return to normal). So must work in office. Boss give hint2 already during 1:1.

Wish could stay and continue WFH with Altera. But with tough job market, I’d rather look for work now and forgo my LTRCA in Oct or any unvested monies. Pretty sure will RTO once they calculated the cubicle spaces for Altera in PG14/15/16
*
Are they going to halau Intel employees out of 14/15/16 so that Altera employees have enough space?

Intel folks will be moving to PG17 new building at the end of the year. So yes Altera will have enough space then.
*
PG17 is the one next to PG7? I passed by that building few days ago and it seems to be still very far from completion. End of the year seems a bit unrealistic.

yep. agree with pillage2001. many companies already want RTO. WFH may apply for senior folks who has a proven track rocord with the company they work with on a case by case basis.

so changing job just to avoid RTO is not a wise move. you should change job to take up more challenge and aim for higher position and salaries.
*
Yeah man, my company just requested us to RTO 4 days a week from the current 3 days.
