after bonus shares is given... is the share price of the counter will be revised?
take an example now... VS is giving out a 4:1 bonus share..ex-date 12/6/08.. the price now is 2.98... so after the ex-date.. how's the price will be revised? thanks for answering in advanced.  |

The calculation is quite easy,your purchase price is the numerator,and the total number of units held AFTER the bonus issue is the denominator. So,if you bought at 2.96 for 1000 shares,you cost is RM 2,960 (not including the charges)your cost after the bonus issue will be: 2960/1000+250 =2.368 per share The therotical ex price is calculated the same way,using the closing price on 11/6/08. |
