hope this is the correct section. anyways im planning to go to singapore for holidays, for a few days la. im planning to go next week. right now, thinking of driving. anyone out there knows whether i can bring my car across? what are the procedure and costs?

and if dont take car, what other transportation do you recommend? i think by train is too long, 6 hours the journey. and by flight cannot book now d. ppl that have travelled by car there, pls do advice.thanks!

I can understand staying in JB to save on hotel costs but staying in JB to save on parking costs is a bit extreme considering the amount of time you spend going in and out compared to the money you save.

already bought my online tickets for USS and Singapore Flyer for new year

fyi, if u want to visit Underwater World during peak time, i called them and they said they dont have online tickets, but tickets are less likely to be sold out even on new year/christmas

thats really complicated for some1 who is not familar with SG 

i can suggest that juz take the green line to Raffles Place n walk to Boat Quay n then Clarke Quay from there, its really nearby, well within 10min, n definitely much faster n easier than hav to change line 2 times more 

Famous Singapore food that I tried on 24-25/12:

1) The Original katong Laksa. Well the spoon laksa at Katong was reviewed by vkeong as not so good so I purposely went to the original of the original..located at a small Bedok kopitiam instead of Katong.. It's yummy and much better than any KL & northern M'sia curry mee which is too oily and lack of santan! Highly recommended 




2) hainanese boneless chicken rice. Well suppose to eat Tian-Tian chicken rice as this one wth Anthony Bourdein signature.. Too bad closed on Christmas so we tried 2nd best liao at Maxwell FC right opposite Chinatown Buddha Tooth relic temple. It's yummy & as good as M'cca chicken rice ball  ..Too bad although price stated as S$2.50 just like other chicken rice avg price in SG, we kena S$3:50!! Holiday marked up??




3) Around maxweel FC, we found this famous Anthony Bourdein Qyster cake.. Haven't seen this in M'sia...not bad but for S$2/pc..abit pricey

Guys, I just wanna ask..I know travelling at MRT I can buy single or "one-time-use" pass from the machine...how about bus?? Cause I only take the bus to and fro to Marina Bay Sands and I don't wish to use the "1 Day Tourist Pass" since i wasn't going to use the public transport a lot for that day..is tere anyway i can get a one or two time tap card for bus??? Cause it will be weird i suddenly pay cash at bus which im not sure if it possible...

icic..cause I remember tooking a bus that stop directly in front of Marina Bay Sands from the bus station in front of Dhoby Ghaut, the prob was back then, I bought a "3-Days-Tourist-Pass" so I just tapped into the bus....and now im not sure how would I pay for the bus cause everyone there seems to be moving so fast and it will be awkward if i like just pay in the bus when everyone seems busy >_<

clarke quay is the name of an area... which is beside the singapore river.. there are a lot of clubs and pubs around that area which you can patronise..

haha. the other clubs are out of clarke quay d lo like zouk and st james power station.

ermm just pass by nia. but this club play chinese songs one. not bad la.

outside of the mall, just nearby... walking distance like 5 minutes from the mall. there's a bridge connecting Vivo City and the venue. quite nice atmosphere there, got 3 type of clubbing, techno,spanish *if not mistaken* and pop musics 

yup...but not Zouk type. more like pubs/bars/restaurants...

Lunar is no more, renovated and changed to another name now, n it sux, seriously.

u wan canto pop, Dragonfly of St James is much better, or u juz wan non stop dance music, go Powerhouse (also St James).

Oh my god >.< I just got back from there(went on 25th Friday) and its my 3rd time in USS already -.-" So sorry!

There was an ARMY event/convention I think.. Saw it along Marina there on Sunday as I took the MRT back to Nicol Highway

Hahaha disney land also have been more than 3 times d >.< I dont think ill be going there anytime soon TT
