i dunno got so many "misc" charges beside the 50% midnight surcharge, last 2month i took cab from marina bay -> jurong east (marina bay = center and jurong east is west coach) around $17.50 by that, it was 1pm lunch hour and journey is like 40mins
*
It is about that. Could be it includes the PIE charges.

i will drive to Sg by Sept to bring Red wine for confinement months to my fren... can i bring it in? will they fine me or charge me?

btw, do i need to make any custom payment to drive in?
*
will they fine me or charge me? Malaysia side or Sinkapo?

When I drove in, at Tuas, the custom at Malaysian side, was no where to be seen!

On reaching Sinkapo side at the immigration check point, was ask to register and pay their Autopass Card since I didn't have. Initial amount is $10 and they will auto deduct about $5 so you will need to top up, depends on how many days you will be passing the ERP areas.
After immigration point, you proceed to have your car check by the Sinkapo custom. They only check for illegal contraband like drugs and fire arms. They did bother about my Penang Biskut and other food stuff. Under 3 minutes, they check finish and off I go.

Beside the Autopass card, the only other charges is the Toll charges.

Any other question?

straight to the hotel?
ok, just take note on which day of the week you're travelling to your hotel and using ERP roads or not?
And also leaving Sinkapo. Advice to have enough credit in your Autopass.

By Train to Singkapo from KL? doh.gif You will lose a day just going by KTM! Which is why it's not many people's mode of transport to Singkapo.

Value Hotel - Thompson

or

Hotel 81 - Osaka

i need a budget hotel that's good for 2 and near to the public transport. thx
*
What makes you pick these 2 hotel? hmm.gif

When you say public transport means what? Taxi or MRT or Bus?
Value Hotel@Thompson is not near to MRT. The nearest MRT, Novena, is too far for me to walk. So is Hotel 81@Osaka's
Paya Lebar MRT station is 15 minutes away on foot!!! sweat.gif

Naturally we bought the air ticket via Jetstar (landed at KLIA instead of LCCT).
*
Thanks for this info. I frequently use Jetstar (cos cheaper fare and better service) from Pg-Sin, didn't realize they land in KLIA instead of LCCT.

Can I still use my phone in SG? Or do I have to switch to use their network or something?
*
Ya, you can still your mobile phone and it will auto switch to their network as along as you have ROAMING.
If your stay is more than 4 days and you are a heavy usage then best to get their pre-paid package about S$25.
Do bring along an addition spare phone for the pre-paid, if your phone dun have a dual slot for sim.

Sure thing. Too bad I'm only gonna be there for a day (in November so its still a long way). I'll probably be taking the MRT for the whole day so I'll see how efficient it is compared to our LRT. I might also take a taxi and see whether they're as corrupt as ours.

sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif You may as well test out and see if the sun rises from the east.
And I though you go there for a fruitful visit. laugh.gif

what kind of busses are available to Singapore? I don't mind going a little high end...considering the level of bus accidents around.

An iPod, maybe a laptop and a mobile phone. A place like Lowyat perhaps.
Mustafa? Is it a mall? I'll be going next month and will be staying at Orchard Road. Its been a longggg time since the last time I've been to Singapore so I'm quite blurry.
*

Sim Lim Plaza but do your research 1st regarding the prices here in Malaysia and check out the validity of warranty.
Sometimes the small malls in the outskirts of Sinkapo have better promotion to attract the locals rather than the LowYat Plaza type.

Will keep that in mind, thanks. You working in Singapore?
*
I travel there frequently via JetStar.
If I have free time in the day i would visit Takashimaya, Kinokuniya and Ngee Ann City. I like browsing the books at Kinokuniya.
I have been to the Parks, Zoo, Studio, Museum and Aquarium, so I dun visit them any more.

Try visiting the Hooters at 3D River Valley Road #01-03 Shophouse Row Clarke Quay Singapore 179023
(nearest MRT - Clarke Quay)
