Yes, you will sure get paid. My friend was accepted into an animation company with 1.6k monthy, bad benefit, but fair job scope. The other friend accepted into a graphic design 2k monthy, but work you to death. A spot light student was accepted into a multimedia studio 2.8k+, good benefit, work you to death. All of them have outstanding portfolio. Job is always there, but the work usually also require you to spend lots of time into it, end up you have very low $/time spend rate you see?

The academy surely won't mentioned all this to people they take in...

Yes. Ask people who you are close with in this line you know it. Some of the people don't even get to do things they like. and recently I heard some of my friend got into company who mistreat them by hold back all her artwork and credit; the end of animation only put on the boss and art director name.

You don't need to be really good in drawing to apply the course. There are many aspects to work on in this industry...Modeling, Texturing, Lighting, Rigging, Animation and Compositing. Some of it require less sketching skill. They will train you in Sketching anyway.

Job after this course? if you want to know the real answer... go make friend with people in this industry and ask for honest feedback.

Thanks, that statement made be feel better bro. I actually went and visited both campuses, and yes, in terms of infrastructure and facilities obviously Sunway is far better. But then penang has got lesser students, and dont think all those excess facility is needed. Syllabus the same, I guess I'll have to live with it.. Just wondering tho, in this thread got anyone from TOAP?

Oh okay thanks! biggrin.gif
Anyway, just wanna know.. How many days a week have classes? And 1 day how many hours, from what time to what time?

Another thingy, do I need a laptop if I go to TOA? I know the facilities there is enough, but is a laptop needed? If not needed, I actually want to opt for a budget workstation desktop instead for the usage at my staying place..

for foundation, you have around 6 subjects..thats my time..not sure if syllabus change..and depends on ur timetable if saturday u have class..if don have then maybe one of the weekdays u have two subjects lo..and each subject is 3 hours/ 4hours.

laptop..nope not necessary you can have ur desktop at home to do work..but then, its recommended. its definitely MUCH MUCH more convenient when u bring ur laptop to college. =)

I see. What time do classes usually start?
Hurm, actually this laptop/desktop thingy has really being bothering me. If i go for a desktop, I could obviously save some bucks but get better performance.. If I get a high end laptop, then would be quite costly.. rclxub.gif

it depends. some 8.30/9/10 for morning classes..for afternoon one mostly around 2/3 =)

since u are going DG, i suggest u get a slightly better one. because next time u will need to handle those quite heavy projects. actually NOT a must u need a laptop, but then just a recommendation..so that somtimes u can bring ur laptop to do work in college..
