wanna used old add-ons in this FF3 RC1
try this

-type about:config at the address bar
-then warning mesej will appear, just click at button > I'll be careful, I'll promise
-then right click on Preference Name bar
-choose New > Boolean
-type/fill with extensions.checkCompatibility
-click OK. Then choose false.. click OK
-restart your firefox, and try isntall any old add-ons BUT used with caution, maybe some old add-ons have some bugs that can effect your security

i was meant to post this on this thread, but on Firefox thread instead... anyway... copy/paste whistling.gif ph34r.gif

thumbup.gif, even after 6 hours... the browser still under 150MB memory consumption.. i found it... it's good smile.gif

I still prefer the old firefox, especially firefox 1, at least it use less ram. and furthermore, when I type the link, I would still prefer the old one, the one now, is quite space wasting.

I'm still using it with firefox ultimate optimiser, seem to be compatible with firefox 3 RC1.
Memory usage below 5k all the time thumbup.gif

mines average 100, 000 K memory. that's alot IMHO but luckily i have enough RAM to cope with it.

when u guys reach 100k and above opening more than 10 tab...does the size decrease if you close the tab?

i read that this thing just move the stuff from physical memory to virtual memory... so unless u run out of memory, u should not do tat as it will tax the performance...

mine doesn't at all. let say i got 3 tabs right, it'll run with 100k memory, after open a few more tabs it will reach 120k and when i close them, it still stay there... luckily my RAM can cope with it so this is not a problem for me =]
