I am still not sure whether want to get B-Line with 0 downpayment but pay with M-Line price or save money and buy M-Line with downpayment. Hurm...
*
Simple...many does that for pure 100% financing. Invoice will state RM53,300 of M Line price but financing of a B line price, RM48,000 so not requirement to pay deposit.

1. Regn card dont state which line of car you own.
2. Invoice issue dont state as well.
3. When queried, SA says the hirer bought M'Line unit wheraes he actually bought B-Line.

This happens for cars with many option list. Such as Myvi, Saga, Vios etc...

I wonder if any of the earlier owners care to relate at what milleage till one notice of its FC improvement. Was it after 5,000 km (2nd service) or after 3rd service (10,000km).
Kinda of find FC maintain high even after 1st service. My rides is miles away to reach for 2nd service. It's going to touch 3,000km.

yup...i mean the water drops...but my problem is when i'm driving during the rain, the rain drops will hit the side mirror (i mean the side mirror kene tempias hujan)....then, it will block the view of the side mirror during the driving....so is there any accessories that i can attach to the side mirror so that it can block the rain drops...sumting like a visor or sumting....
*
Present IAFM unit is with visors. If not as someone mentioned get wiped with rain X or something equavalent. The rain drops wont stick to u glass..it just turn into beads & sway off. better visibility. Been using such solution since the day I got the vehicle. Got wiper problem..just use the mild soap & wash the rubber of the wiper each time. You will see the wipers swing & clean efficiently even with the use of Rain X. In fact, I hardly use my wiper if the rain drizzles only. cool2.gif

Hmm I had difficulty too when first started driving Persona. It's beeen so many years driving with the indicator lights on the right side and suddenly it goes on the left side. Doesn't make sense to me but gah, what to do.

Anybody has any idea why they changed to the left side for indicator light?
*
They wan to follow the west or european drive stlye method. Indicator at left as thier driving is on the left. blush.gif

Hi guy, my persona is manual. Yesterday when I stop my car at traffic light and try to shift to first gear you know what was happen to my gear box. I cannot shift to first gear, so I try to shift to others but I found that I just can shift to third and five gear only damn crazy. I try very hard the gear still cannot shift to first. So I try to use third gear move the car abit so it can shift to first gear and others. I try to drive and shift the gear the problem gone like that. But before that I found that the persona gear is difficult to shift for second gear. Sometime I have to shift the second gear very hard. Is that my gear box already got problem?
*
Very unusual ....really. Normally gear shd pass or get QC clearance.

Probably your gear Konk already or no tranny lubricant . Or ...did u just obtain L license. Got one lady fren who drove the Auto tranny from day one having problem shifting manual gear of the co car that we passenger was so worry that the gear might just snap****. She claims the gear rosak already wheraes she just forgot she has to step on the clutch to change gear. hey..just kidding but is true.

got another fren (been driving Manual) who got an auto tranny New Saga cant start the car the 1st day at the shopping mall. Cursing up on his new car calling it rubbish. Wanted to call tol truck....but then when I drove there to check on the problem...discover that his auto gear shift to N & not to P. So how is he going to start the car then?? drool.gif
He also curse Proton earlier ..condeming it & making a fuss to the on looker..wondering why his car just taken delivery "rosak" already. So bloody embrasing when I rectify his own human problem. Tol car also arrived after which. Funny..but true.

Beatlesalbum bro.... funny is those who bashed has never own or driven Persona but bash like hell.

For infor..Myvi GULP fuel while runs on highway. Gulps more then Persona. Persona FC on highway is good & better then this 1.3 L mini. but then City drive..Myvi FC beats Persona since its capacity is only 1.3.

it sound like not smooth..after 2000rpm..the sound back to normal like what other cars sounded.....slam the bonnet no sound d.. hmm.gif  hmm.gif

try to send 2 S.C dont know the problem...cant solve...
*
This thing happpens in all Persona.

Just run up to rpm 2,900 which is close to 100km/h you will be the rough harsy sound with some vibration feel at the pedal. Run up a little speed & its smooth after rpm2,900.
Some complaint its drive shafts ....try to check them with Proton Edar service centre & not any appointed workshop.
Mine just reduce the feel...& I'll go for next 10,000 km service for to rectify again.
Someone got it rectify with some thing added to reduce harness at the shafts area. Some dampener I think...

I too need help in this matter..as I'll be sending for 2nd service soon.

Im starting to like this car. Just now really syiok.....I get to pecut till 80km/h when green light. rclxm9.gif

Ya..I dont get it also. What does he mean that his minicar drive better on highway. He has no experience on driving big salon family car then.

The mini car start screeeeeeeeeeaaaming but the time it reach 90KM/H above. You can feel the car when it reach 110km/h struggling..of course one felt it hard press. You feeeeel the car.

But then Persona felt its cruising ...comfortably above 110k/h. So smoooooth...so comfy. No scream. No shriek.

thats why mini car is dangerous on highway...please dont drive mini car on highway. Its advisable & should be ban drom using highway.

hey guys do you notice that the air-cond is very noisy especially during idle...
sometimes get very loud...
other than that everythg is just great...
*
Its loud from outside but is bearable quiet from inside. Its even louder if u drive into the porch as it gave extra echo sound...but u wont notice if u r in the car.

Cant say much..its even nosier with the IAFM , thus the reson of a cover cap the engine to sustain the noise from inside.

my car is bline manual..jus went 2 eon glenmarie sc for 1k service but somehow didn't solve my following problem even i complain them.

1) pedal, steering and glovebox vibrate after 2k rpm - not solved - SA said it was normal for manual campro persona izit?????
2) noise at glovebox area - not solved
3) fuel fuller neck problem - waiting stock to come then fix it
4) some metal sound on right front absorber area when going through bumps - not solved
5) while balancing cluth sometimes will have "tak tak" sound which i duno y happen - not solved

so frustrated man...anyone r having the same problem like me?
*
A1. Do up balancing since it effect steering. The ususal RPM 2,800 only affect the pedal vibration.

A2. Likely the loose bundle cable. Can be solved.

A3. Not really ..its like that. Not indicator kaput but the neck is little longer. Different station have diffrent sizes of nozzle.

A4. This happen in all Persona. Problem still persist.

A5. Guess they have tighten the steering side, I suppose..not sure. Can be rectified.

Send to more realiable SC or else complaint to right channel.

If your car in stationary with running engine will also consumed high fuel. Reving it also consumed much...so is heavy load. Lots of braking also contribute to it. Lots of corner, humps , short distance drives are culprits.

Its all sum out to your driving habit.

err..nowadays we tend to put
eg:
journey>>Penang to KL
distance>> 300km
fc>> 12l/100km

i would like to suggest we add
time taken >> x hour xx minute

the logic is, for the same distance, faster time to arrive
means more petrol is consumed.

that's why there is time counter on the dashboard..
gen2 yes..persona also got right? smile.gif
*
Dont agree...not significant.

Only if every driver actually use the correct method to evaluate their car's FC. Pump full then runs till "presumely" empty tank coz its indicator is completely inaccurate method. Why..the float read is inaacurate.

Should use the logically , much accuarte method..pump till click of nozzle then run , after which pump till nozzle click. No need to run till complately empty tank. The 2nd pump is X L fuel which is the X fuel fill up over the empty gap, empty gap is fuel lost over Z KM. So take X Liter/ Z KM.

BTW..Kenji, no more IDSI in production. IT complete stop in Oct 08. They will be launching i-VTEC. You can always buy the formerly owned carl.

Hey, just want to ask... do you think the auto cruise in SE is useful ?
*
DEFINATELY....was driving Wira 1.5 A the last time with auto cruise. It was sooooo convenient & relaxing. Just lift ur leg while the car simply crusie along the highway. Stress free & no need the step pedal or control speed. No worry of speed trap. Better FC.
But then if it rains...just caution & advisable not to use the auto cruise.

Definately good FC for Auto Cruise..need not control the fuel pedal or rev. My leg just rest & ready to step on brake..once brake, just reset the Auto Cruise button , back to normal. One can just reset for any speed. Definately no speed summons. So relax that u need only concentrates on the steering & overtaking. Leg wont feel tired for long haul. Great is you can also set it at 115km/h constant.

However..auto cruise mode is only available at Auto tranny vehicle.

Ya..since some1 mentioned about Viva (600c-1L) whixh is definately Fuel Saving in City drive, lgically small mini engine. But fuel gulper in Highway so also.........dangerous when drive in highway.
This happen to my despatcher when he bought the Viva instead of the Saga/ Last 2 weeks ago..he drove to Kuala Kangsar to attend funeral & on teh way to Ipoh...his car simply flung (for no reason, suspect coz by gush of wind) & hit the divider..the small mini car was totally lost & damage. His 2 kids got flung out from the rear screen (windows close then) & one of which under ICU. The other was serious but discahrged. He as Driver was with minor injury while his wife fracture bone.

The car complete waste buy just hitting divider...this result from teh strong gush of wind & he driving at speed.

I told him..he wouldnt get into this seriousness if he were to drive Saga. Viva is not meant for highway drive. Its too light..no power. As they say..its merely a motor bike with roof. blush.gif

BTW, the much reliable brand of pedal lock suck as Locktech (Thai) will cost about RM350.00. Its double security& definately convenient then the usual steering lock.

Just to add to Suk's comment.

Tot the car havent even send up for 1st service..already start reving hard & forcefully run all the virgin engines & compartments real harsh, guess its gonna age quicker.
No matter of what car..it is advisable not to push one nEW VIRGIN car to the max...engine is not even fluid or at optimum performance.
I tot all manuals will advise the new owner accordingly..be it Japs or Euro car.
Rule #1 . Do not rev hard for 1st 1,000km
Rule #2 . Not to overly brake hard.
Rule #3. Car is in minimum performace during 1st 1,000km.
