Quoted from paultan :

"The Campro IAFM engine keeps the Campro 1.3’s 94 horsepower at 6,000rpm and 120Nm of torque at 4,000rpm figures, with changes only to the way the power and torque is delivered instead of any change in the peak power and torque. Proton’s dyno tests of the new Campro IAFM engine reveals power ratings of up to 98 horsepower is achievable, but Proton prefers to publish the power figures in brochures at 94 horses for some reason, perhaps for consistency sake as not all engines may be able to achieve the 98 horses figure."

So it's a BLM. Iafm campro, not plain. So basically 1.6 IAFM should can get 115hp.

Ya its a blm lo, actually come to think of it IAFM can be retrofitted as its only operated by vacuum pressure and not by ECU like the cps vim. So basically any campro can just plug and play and when there is a drop in manifold pressure vacuum(Open throttle) the IAFM will switch to the shorter runner.

Second hand also is a no go also, the interest rate is quite high, it's no joke buying car then selling it after 1 year you will lose money, i suggest you finish your studies then only buy or let your family members drive it . Selling the car whether is new car or second car you are bound to lose a lot of money. Either keep it or don't buy it. Just a piece of my advise. But if you got money to burn why not tongue.gif

Mine is auto. Mostly around 2.5k-3k rpm rev. Unless going back home on straight highway, will push over 3k rpm rev. Now only 70% highway 30% city. See after 1k services how the FC goes. Only 380km now. Each day at most 50KM mileage averagely or even less around 30km. sweat.gif

H-Line with CPS brows.gif . but like -storm- said, i agree it will definitely compete with persona coz the hp will be almost the same, if not more than it. price now is already competitive enough, if add in CPS for a few K, then blm will be my most desirable budget model. but with more power, will need to burn more fuel ler. no free energy in this world. tongue.gif

probably fc may go up too. but with a more powerful engine to pull blm, will it be actually saving fuel too? in the end, it depends how heavy is ure foot. hard to tell coz not in the market. unless someone buy the blm n swap the engine head for the cps thingy. then only we know. blush.gif
