spay risky? spay can prevent our furkids from lotsa disease at old age, should be safer as we do not know what is the side effect u will get from the injection in long run. i always thought im being selfish for not spaying my boy.

never heard of such injection wor. it's better to spay if u dun wan accidents to happen lor. regarding the appetite it depends on dogs one, some after one day they will start to eat already. your dog wont be not eating forever after spaying. it's normal to lose appetite.

Sinv, i am now thinking whether to spay Cooper anot, coz tht day my dance teacher went to SPCA for some campaign they held regarding this also...she got few mongrels and she did it at a very low price...and she advice me to spay cooper before 6 months and gave alot of leaflets regarding tht spaying can prevent alot of sickness...

the decision is still on me...my bf and i thinking to get cooper a partner when he grows up...at times my mouth quite bad...tell him tht i will spay him if he is naughty...but abit sayang and "sam tung" also...

I surf and find the info about jabs to prevent pregnancy in female dogs and this url below provide some info:
http://www.champdogsforum.co.uk/board/topic/96821.html

It seems like there are side effects and can cause complications. No precautions are 100% safe. In rare circumstances, female dogs still conceive even after getting this jab. A sudden change in hormones level will cause probs to their appetite and weight problem as well. So, the best conclusion is to spay them.

i think spaying b4 6 months is not right le. According to my vet, it's best to spay around 8months - 1 year old. Sum more, please don't bring to government place to spay cooper if u intend to do so (my opinion), i have a fren send her doggie to spay at govement place and puppy passed away after operation. takut shocking.gif

Expert ar... blush.gif it depends on regular combing use or to detangle their matted furs. If regular combing and daily use, then a slicker brush like this would be sufficient:

Comb terbalik the directions of hair growth. Be very gentle when using slicker brush. Try to comb the brush on your own hand first to know the strength to apply on combing your poodle. Because if u comb too vigorously, will cause slicker brush burn on their skin. Remember to comb them well b4 bathing, not after! If not the matted fur will become more matted and u will not be able to rinse well the shampoo from their body. In time...the chemical of the shampoo stucks inside the matted furs will cause irritations to their skin.

Never use a slicker brush on a dog's face or ears. The needle-like comb can accidently poke their eyes and the skin ard the ears are too delicate. For face and ears, u can use this...

Those that groomers use are not branded also. As long as it's a stainless steel brush smile.gif
