QUOTE(QiW @ Oct 15 2009, 11:04 PM) ah boy place not all stuff really cheap .. u have to shop and look around more .. hehehehe ah?? what PE oo? This wan is PE2-3. So cheap...hu hu hu... the last i asked someone who oso has earthshaker .. less than rm600 leh .. hahahaha QUOTE(max_cjs0101 @ Oct 16 2009, 09:13 PM) wah,you guys spend lots on fishing stuff. i've never been to fishing ponds before. normally around how much is it? haha..that not a lot..u should ask Qiw how a lot is a lot paypond : freshwater - usually RM7 per hour depending on ponds..some min play is 2 hours and some 3 hours. saltwater- usually RM13-RM15 per hour. There are some is RM30+ per hour (they claim to have big fish inside) usual min play 3 hours. QUOTE(yothim @ Oct 17 2009, 12:48 AM) hi guys, i'm new here and i'm planning to get some fishing equipment. i'm just a beginner with little experience in fishing (using my friends rod). would like u guys to recommend some equipment for me......not too expensive .....jus wanna get some cheap but quality equipment which will last couple of years. will do some lake or some sea fishing....pls advise, thanks. btw, my budget is below 200 if too little, then below 300 lor. jus fishing for fun.......thanks it depends specifically what are you intending to do? In the sea, on the boat would be different kind of rod and reel. Some part of the sea got biggies and you'll never know what you'll get...if you bring freshwater reel, might have screws falling apart from the reel. If you're on the boat, they one reel spoiled, u can start sleeping till everybody finish fishing. But if you buy sea fishing rods/reels... it would be too big n heavy for freshwater. btw, any shops to recommend? some honest shop.....i stay around ampang/cheras area. is the one near mirama hotel one is good? they opened for quite some time liao. but if u intend to play in saltwater payponds and freshwater...RM200 could do the job. i know of a place in pandan mewah. u can PM me later if u want to find the place. recommend you this shop owner.honest and good man...for the very least this shop owner been fishing before so he knows what to recommend. the one near mirama got 2 fishing shops...fishing hunter-very expensive, sabre tackle - good man, but his shop does seem to have much choice for a beginner. |

hu hu hu....bottom fishing can hardly get GT la bro. Trolling, not much boat would want to do trolling and if there is, u have to take turns with your friends for trolling because only 2 rods can troll at a time.
As what Master Qiw said before, those multipliers are meant for bottom fishing and a lil trolling. Those are meant for catching groupers, snappers or stingrays. GT and barra...very rare to eat bottom |

QUOTE(yothim @ Oct 23 2009, 11:13 PM) thanks bro is depending on interests.. "rich man" lifestyle? i know a lot of millionaires who loves fishing for now i think i need the equipment (or should i wait?) and more readings on it. hope by then, i can find some kaki la.........and at the same time, i cant find any place near my place to fish. i just dont like the paypond cos i think it is quite overcrowded, dont have those 'feel' of fishing get cheap ones...rm40 already can buy a freshwater set which can survive the fierce 5kg pacu attack from FV. QUOTE(QiW @ Oct 24 2009, 07:28 AM) hamster is a SIS laa .. hehehehe sifu..dun bocor me la.. get the cheapest stuff 1st (these will prolly be sacrificial testing) .. then find some kakis and fish from there u will know what to get liau .. hamster oso started like this maa .. hahahaha now she owns very high end stuff already .. the saltiga reel u saw her posting here costs thousands one leh ... huahhahahaahaa |

QUOTE(yothim @ Oct 25 2009, 10:17 PM) anyone went to fish at bagan lalang before? saw one kelong there which charges rm40/12 hrs (no food is included), any comment? sukida..RM15 per entry if not mistaken.. any fish u want to take back, must weight first...patin I think RM7/kg. So far only bring back patin to cook. there got lots of pacu. If u know how to go Nirvana Memorial Park in Semenyih, it's around there..over there got lots of pay ponds..Sukida is one of them. There got Tangguk2, Fish Valley, Teratak Madu..u can find their information in MFN forum. btw, anyone knew the location of sukida pond at hulu langat? quite nearby my place..........any gps locations or can guide me there? would like to find out this place........to do some practising later......thanks!! If u want free fishing, then try Semenyih damn. Just becareful la..it's rainy season...the water is super deep. Also dun get caught QUOTE(max_cjs0101 @ Oct 26 2009, 12:18 AM) hehe..got so many ponds to go after this. but i heard from the locals there, the owner release very little fish..wanna try? |

QUOTE(leroy87 @ Oct 30 2009, 02:18 PM) at melaka raya got a pond saltwater...not bad..quite near to the eye of malaysia there.sea, erm... got if u got the luck and good tekong..else waste ur time in the sea under the hot sun and cold rain. QUOTE(yothim @ Nov 1 2009, 07:22 PM) wat i'm trying to say is tat the paypond with natural pond of fishing would not have the same feelings. u know tat there are fish in the paypond while if u get a average sized fish at the pond, it would be a great feelings or something like tat. bagan lalang kelong is around RM40/12hr, so i think it would be better than paypond since they also charge by weight n the fish taste like crap. today is not like last time, 20 years ago, fishing can be done almost anywhere and it's much easier and safer. fish taste nicer and natural. now, want to step out of the house also worry about safety. some of my friends fishing in mining lake also kena rob by gangs of parang. btw, anyone knew how to go to semenyih dam? lots of ppl fished there and i heard from the tackle shop owner it is ok to fish there. anyone knew the spot or can guide me there? thanks!! kelong would be nice. go try and give report ya report koh adang fishing...(a picture worth a thousand words) cobia! ![]() |

QUOTE(fookie @ Nov 2 2009, 08:59 PM) talking about sungai buah in bangi i got a CR. nice catch! what bait u use there ya?went there last thursday. fished from 1~6. got 4 lost around 8. the fishes there are like those in fish valley(on steroid) just that the fishes here are much smaller compared to FV. pacus i caught ranged around 2kgs. ![]() btw i wanna get a size 2000 or 3000 reel for freshwater fishing. budget around rm80+? any reel to recommend? abu garcia cardinal 201? or 101? or buy those mesin katak would do the job..freshwater usually play that...the louder the better QUOTE(yothim @ Nov 2 2009, 11:03 PM) aii.....so, anyone recommend to fish at semenyih dam? the only free to fish area that i found is the lake near ampang point or the one at subang holiday villa. sorry...hardly fished in semenyih dam..just go there and survey the area lah. ask the people around there or even ask those who are fishing there would be easier. |

QUOTE(fookie @ Nov 3 2009, 03:38 AM) mesin katak is those modified reels. sometimes there's some people at the pond fishing, when they caught fish...their reel can really scream real loud. It's for the fun of it and also to irritate those who haven't caught any fish yet. QUOTE(KopiJanda @ Nov 3 2009, 06:27 AM) Just got back from sealion 2. sealion pond 2, biting rate not that great at that time. that's why they have the midnight package. Pond re-open as if 10 am today. Went from 1:30am to 5.00 am. K O Y A K. Not a single bite, a few guys did land some nice siakap tho. average size 3kg. Chiao sincerely, cursed by sea lion. u should go when the day is hot and when the pond starts to open. plus need to know where is the kolong and the pasu. |
