depending where are u located. can get in most fishing shops like Kepong tackle, Oceansportfishing (ah boy) at Seri Kembangan, Jln Kapar tackle shop... price varies..I think it's RM500-600++ liddat..depending on Revo Toro 50 or 60. Sorry...hardly bother to look on toro series so dun know the exact pricing.

paypond : freshwater - usually RM7 per hour depending on ponds..some min play is 2 hours and some 3 hours.

saltwater- usually RM13-RM15 per hour. There are some is RM30+ per hour (they claim to have big fish inside) usual min play 3 hours.

it depends specifically what are you intending to do? In the sea, on the boat would be different kind of rod and reel. Some part of the sea got biggies and you'll never know what you'll get...if you bring freshwater reel, might have screws falling apart from the reel. If you're on the boat, they one reel spoiled, u can start sleeping till everybody finish fishing. But if you buy sea fishing rods/reels... it would be too big n heavy for freshwater.

but if u intend to play in saltwater payponds and freshwater...RM200 could do the job.

i know of a place in pandan mewah. u can PM me later if u want to find the place. recommend you this shop owner.honest and good man...for the very least this shop owner been fishing before so he knows what to recommend. the one near mirama got 2 fishing shops...fishing hunter-very expensive, sabre tackle - good man, but his shop does seem to have much choice for a beginner.

hu hu hu....bottom fishing can hardly get GT la bro. Trolling, not much boat would want to do trolling and if there is, u have to take turns with your friends for trolling because only 2 rods can troll at a time.

As what Master Qiw said before, those multipliers are meant for bottom fishing and a lil trolling. Those are meant for catching groupers, snappers or stingrays. GT and barra...very rare to eat bottom

sukida..RM15 per entry if not mistaken.. any fish u want to take back, must weight first...patin I think RM7/kg. So far only bring back patin to cook. there got lots of pacu. If u know how to go Nirvana Memorial Park in Semenyih, it's around there..over there got lots of pay ponds..Sukida is one of them. There got Tangguk2, Fish Valley, Teratak Madu..u can find their information in MFN forum.

If u want free fishing, then try Semenyih damn. Just becareful la..it's rainy season...the water is super deep. Also dun get caught

at melaka raya got a pond saltwater...not bad..quite near to the eye of malaysia there.

sea, erm... got if u got the luck and good tekong..else waste ur time in the sea under the hot sun and cold rain.

today is not like last time, 20 years ago, fishing can be done almost anywhere and it's much easier and safer. fish taste nicer and natural. now, want to step out of the house also worry about safety. some of my friends fishing in mining lake also kena rob by gangs of parang.

sorry...hardly fished in semenyih dam..just go there and survey the area lah. ask the people around there or even ask those who are fishing there would be easier.

mesin katak is those modified reels. sometimes there's some people at the pond fishing, when they caught fish...their reel can really scream real loud. It's for the fun of it and also to irritate those who haven't caught any fish yet. my mesin katak is modified shimano fb1000. played my mesin katak until mute already...will replace the steel inside for the noise later.

sealion pond 2, biting rate not that great at that time. that's why they have the midnight package.

u should go when the day is hot and when the pond starts to open. plus need to know where is the kolong and the pasu.
