lucas black and vin diesel partnership?

watching wet paint drying seems more fun i think.
if they drop in neela (nathalie kelley) + bow wow (twinkle) i think it they act better in 2 minutes than lucas did in the whole FF-TKD

They more of less covered lots of non stop over the top action in furious 8, i think it would be good if they have real drivers do a cameo as Keiichi Tsuchiya did.

We all know only Paul Walker can really drive in real life. Non of the other cast can really "drive", Vin Diesel? movie makers did made him look good on screen. Walker always tease diesel. Which i why i do feel an important cast/character that bond us car enthusiast is gone (forever).

Not that it will bother action fans, but for me it's a little hollow, less legit. That small knowledge amongst the cast actors, there is a true racer, adranaline junkie, not make believe.

I don't know sad.gif what do some of you think? F&F should now be titled "The Transporter turns bad, revenge of the evil transporter' (Deckard shaw)?" whistling.gif

in memory of paul

a lot of people were curious why the film makers crafted the road end scene. (some prefer some racing between dom & brian)

Some of you might be aware how the military (air force) honour a fallen comrade, many of them do the "Missing man formation", I don't know if the filmmaker took a cue from there but many fans too notice the final drive evokes the similar feeling.

QUOTE
The missing man formation is an aerial salute performed as part of a flypast of aircraft at a funeral or memorial event, typically in memory of a fallen pilot. The formation is often called the "missing man flyby" or "flypast".

In all cases, the aircraft performing the pull-up, split off, or missing from the formation, is honoring the person (or persons) who has died, and it represents their departure to the heavens.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missing_man_formation
so there you have it. at least now you know why, if they did what they did in honour of paul.

anyway, a nice talk about the furious 7 from this interview.

Also, in a white honda :

White = ghost, spirit.
Honda = paul's 1st car in ff iinm
*
Not too sure about that (spirit n honda thing) but what I'm sure off is that most Paul Walker's personal/private collection cars and his personal supra (not FnF movie cars) is white. So I'm thinking it was a homage along those lines.

Imsiebel is correct, Brian first car in FnF movie was a Mitsubishi eclipse, not a honda. The toretto's gang use Hondas in their heist in the movie.

Futra got it wrong, yes it's a white supra. No word if it's indeed Paul own personal supra or a movie prep supra

should be Paul's own car, i don't think they will go all the way to replicate a stock looking car

even the 370z and Porsches from Fast 5 are Paul's personal cars

*
Yup, AE or "Always Evolving" are Paul's private collection garage. It's just that after his passing, I wasn't sure the "state of the cars" in the sense if it's temporary 'shut' due to some legalities (if any).

He has heck of a cars, he loved racing and cars. And all this while, he doesn't neccessarily purchase the most expensive or the newest exotics (even if he could easily afford, I'm sure) but many his car collections Is pretty much something we ordinary folks could identify and obtain.

Which to me why this Paul Walker is quite dear to his fans, the enthusiast car buffs. cool2.gif

Is there any other scene after the credit done rolling at the end?
*
They have already mentioned that they didn't want to add any credit scene (prelude to next fast/furious 8) because they want people to remember Paul Walker (end of movie is a tribute to family)

Any thing else will disrupt the remembrance

Wasn't planning to watch this series anymore if not because of the demise of Paul Walker
And I guess most have the same idea as me, to watch his last movie as a main reason

As usual with the rest of the FnF series, this movie is best watch with your brain left outside the hall, just watch it for the eye candies and the boom boom pow.

After coming out from cinema, felt underwhelm
1st, the ending scene wasn't as emotional as some claimed, maybe it's me, but I preferred they put in more effort in the memorial of Paul Walker.
Also I wished they would have put in more story on him, this movie is all about Dom, Dom and Dom :z

Also I was laughing inside, due to Vin's comment that this is an Oscar worthy movie, yeah right laugh.gif more like Razzie worthy.

Lastly don't get me started on the plot, which is a mess, but again, which FnF isn't? tongue.gif

Not the best in the series, but still watchable just for the action scenes and the remembrance for Paul
*
Everybody knows the had to rescript the movie after the sudden passing of Paul walker. This wasn't the direction where it originally intended, but like I haves said kudos to the director and his team for relooking into past Paul walker voice overs (not used materials for previous fast n furious movie and rescript some part to tailor Brian's exit

Most of us already figure out exactly where the it went on its detour of Paul's character. (Was also revealed online) Most fast n furious fans did felt it's not the best development of and fluildity of the storyline but action is top draw.

Like you I too felt it's a little dom dom but we know they all had no choice. Sadly Paul only filmed a little more than half (mentioned by cast)

Fast & furious series goes James Bond carnage & famous international cities for maximum impact.

The big reveal must be in Cuba?

Of course Dom will come good eventually, in the end but it begs the question, if he, one man single handily can take all his "family", hobbs & deckard shaw... don't really need them in previous FF series right πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Joking aside

But Dominic is Supeman in FF8πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚

I love how they clash opinion here..hahah. I'm always on Dan side, but on this one I don't think I am. They haven't go to space yet, so its okay..hahaaa~

i'm with dan. Fast Five was the best to me (it was ridiculous but great fun, epitomes the silliness of car culture, the bond they have). I understand the last one (F7) where the symphaty & send off for PW. I like the franchise (up to a point) but it's gone almighty van diesel testosterone when he undertook the producing part

Paul walker did say its one of those things that you don't take seriously (some movie junket in the past), but yeah, Dan feels Van Diesel, ok its definitely milking the franchise to its maximum

The vibe around those who watched it says it's one of the better fF franchises. The got the formula franchise right perfectly, finely tuned as they went one. Seems F8 is all furiously delicious (whatever that means)

It ok if it's not much really about street racing (well they had a simple akin Bollywood version in opening of the movie). I understand one can only do so much 'street racing' after so many F&F installments.

Do get me wrong, everytime we watch a certain genre, let say 007 (bond james) we have the signature tag example the startout theme as a mnemonic that we always associate

For F&F, it has been cars, memorable car chase, car tag (between Brian & whoever, dom)

In F8, it was shoved almost as sideshow. To me at least. Dom's family values in this movie was sooo cliche. It doesn't help with the director odd angles on facial closeups, not profile shots but straight up, flat faced. I know some might think it sure unconventional but it's rather annoying, in your face directorial (angle) we don't need to have to think about.

Having a heist is good, it was super fun in Fast five. Here, in F8 it was not coherent, maybe it's the (Felix Gary) director personal way of doing things

The banter between the co stars, nice. Something that I notice well with black directors.

F5 > F7 > F1 > 2F2F > F3:TD > F4 > F6 > F8

I'm sorry. Maybe something, the FF enigma Paul walker is no longer there. The only real driver (well I think maybe Jason Statham can drive)

Many too agreed that fast five was the best of the lot
(All eight fast & furious movies rated, accordingly)

That's the one of the most cringeworthy moments in the film. Deckard Shaw, one of the badass villains who massacred the entire hospital staff just to visit his brother suddenly become the baby pacifier and mama's boy. Not to mention that he becomes the BFF of Hobbs and Dom after all the vendetta. Han would be rolling in his fcking grave.

"World's greatest cyber terrorist" got her plane cargo bay hacked open. What a joke.

The torpedoe chasing moment was equally BS as well lol. Not Wowed at all.

Vin diesel thinks otherwise & massive fans flocked πŸ˜—

I mentioned on FB online that FF8 has left the 'fast & furious theme' & borders on XXX (diesels triple X movie) + mission impossible. But They probably had lot of fun doing it...

... and tyrese gibson (his FB) 'liked' my comment πŸ˜“πŸ˜‹

Personally, as I mentioned, not my favorite FF movie πŸ˜…

What! That joker really liked your comment? Wow. Unbelievable!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The part I didn't like the FF8 as much as previous installments was not mentioned in that FB comment. It's my opinion about i

Everything else about the triple X + mission impossible, making tons of money, and having fun making the movie, missing Paul etc, yes.

Tyrese Gibson was closest to Paul walker amongst all the crew members. The bond was deeper. That's one of the reasons I liked 2F2F, for it gave the FF (franchise) the impetus to have good fun. The banters, poking fun came full glory in F5 & every furious movie thereafter never fail to include it.
