QUOTE(hunt2sp @ Jun 3 2013, 03:21 PM)
expected storyline:

- statham will hunt diesel & nearly killed him
- crash boom bang vroom vroom
- found out what his brother has done
- vroom vroom crash boom bang
- braga linked to another transporter villain
- vroom vroom + some explosion
- found out that you have finished your pop-corn
- statham realize diesel's 'family values", join in the family
- wipe out all of the villain & kill them (if any)
- boom ...the end

- after credit - michael knight "kitt...you gotta record on dominic toretto?"

tongue.gif

general plot it seems tongue.gif could be.

whose's next? the genre will change slightly given justin lin (lots of style, stunts border on unbelievable to audacious (some claims ridiculous).

With James Wan (SAW), i sure FF7 will be more bloodied, sure the 'family' theme (not blood family) will be continued.

I like your assessment that maybe ian shaw (jason statham) crosses over the good side (but i doubt). blush.gif

cast (Furious7)
Vin Diesel ... Dominic Toretto
Jason Statham ... Ian Shaw
Dwayne Johnson ... Luke Hobbs
Paul Walker ... Brian O'Conner
Sung Kang ... Han
Tyrese Gibson ... Roman Pearce
Jordana Brewster ... Mia
Michelle Rodriguez ... Letty
Ludacris ... Tej

Link to Cast List for Fast & Furious 7 (not confirmed)

rumoured to join FF7
Tom Hardy ? < Ian Shaw's second-in-command and henchman (really???) cool2.gif
Nathalie Kelley (tokyo drift) would be nice eye candy much given gal gagot's passing
Lucas Black (tokyo drift) < why? sweat.gif poor substitution lead for dom/brian when they used him TKD
Bow Wow (tokyo drift) < unlikely
Brian Tee..Takashi < Comes back for revenge on Sean and teams up with Ian Shaw (since it's back in LA)

my guess Hobbs will play a less significant role in Fast 7 (said may have scheduling conflict, of maybe pressing for more $$$$ since the franchise is making $$$$)

Speaking off since it's back in LA scene (origins of F&F franchise), will we see the return or MORE JDM imports??? thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Justin lin opted out from the franchise, he felt the story could go as far he can think off.

but the producers (van Diesel & another) thinks there is still more $$$$ to be made from the F&F franchise.

They narrowed the a few candidates director before deciding for James Wan

Actor Paul Walker died in a car crash

user posted image

TORONTO — Actor Paul Walker, best known for his role in the Fast and the Furious movie franchise, died Saturday. He was 40.

According to celebrity website TMZ, Walker and another person were killed when the driver of a Porsche GT lost control and crashed, bursting into flames, according to the report.

The accident is said to have occurred in Valencia, California, where the actor was attending an open house at Always Evolving, a performance car and racing business.

According to fire officials, the single vehicle crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. local time in the Rye Canyon Business Park. A red Porsche had struck a light pole and a tree. Two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

The L.A. County Sheriff’s Traffic Services Detail is investigating the cause of the accident and the L.A. County Coroner is on scene.

In addition to playing Brian O’Conner in the Fast and the Furious movies, Walker starred in 1999′s Varsity Blues, 2001′s Joy Ride and 2005′s Into the Blue.

He worked several times in Canada, including 2000′s The Skulls in Toronto and 2006′s Eight Below in B.C.

Walker has a 15-year-old daughter, Meadow.

His FB page link is below. You can contribute the condolences here

https://www.facebook.com/PaulWalker

Walker described himself as "outdoorsman, ocean addict, adrenaline junkie ... and I do some acting on the side."

It is a terrible loss. Some might not have him as a favourite actor but his outside work & charity is notable. The real world JDM community did have a spotlight with the F&F franchise. Good or bad rep but it help to bring a better understanding of cars community.

Paul is a big fan of cars, his interest develop further when he got involved in the Fast & Furious movie. In real life, he was a better driver than any of the fellow actors & learned to ropes to be quite a good driver.

died too soon, he still owe us a 10sec car. sad.gif

See the link page below. Paul (in black on the right) is talking to the driver (Roger Rodas<unconfirmed atm) of the red Porsche Carrera GT that crashed . about a second or so of him in the link. He (paul) probably couldn't resist fast cars.

don't think so. but maybe if he (paul) was driving instead (paul is known to be a cool head driver, adrenaline seeker but cool head). Maybe the driver of the carrera gt wanted to impress paul (bad mistake/too ego?), which could have lead to the accident.

[edit]

Too much to speculate, the driver of the Carreras GT is supposedly a good driver himself (unconfirmed). Roger Rodas. sad.gif

QUOTE(Brian O'Connor @ Dec 2 2013, 02:11 PM)
Rip Paul. We'll gonna miss you.

Its been so long since I use this name for any account that I register in any forum that I entered.

Back then when I was at early college life, I still remember I didnt know anything about car and not interested to know about it. Eventhough I read Initial D, its still doesnt make me interesting about car as Initial D only pressing about driver skill eventhough using old stock car.

But when my big bro introduced me to the 1st movie, I starting to became a fan of fast car and dig more about cars. When 2F2F came out, suddenly car mods and fast car trend become a hype. I still remember imitating as Brian when driving my friend's Nissan Sunny back then at college and we used to call that car as GT-R when borrowing from my friend. We all watched 2F2F bunch of times.

In the early scene of 2F2F where Brian, Suki and 2 others race at Miami road is my favourite scene so far which also make me loves GT-R and hoping that I would buy a R34 someday eventhough it already become an old model of Skyliner series.

However 3 years ago, I gave up on car mod due to financial budget and involves myself with music band. I also reluctant to go to motorshow and hangout with my friends from car club because I slowly began to lost interest in car.

But after hearing about Paul's death, it gave me a big shock due to the fact that I admire him and his character, Brian in FnF.

So, as a respect to Paul, I'll stop using this account starting tomorrow and create a new account. At the same time, what happened yesterday makes me realize how Brian O'Connor had change me when I in a college. I also may consider involves myself back to cars and pursue back my dream to have a Nissan GT-R

Thank you for those memory Paul. We'll gonna miss you a lot.

I have seen a lot of people who said he is no real idol (just some actor in an overrated franchise) even on this forums.

Your post & many other people show shared online how the movie help them feel 'together' or 'belonged' and began to search/research to be a better car guy or tuner or something related to automotive. Some use books or attend seminars to feel inspired.

Car cars, are visual people. many can identify themselves via movies (admitted most of car cars read little school books). I have seen some outpouring tributes that because of TF&F, the came out from their jobs as truck drivers & became involved in the car scene, others said the learn the trade better than just a guy in a "fast/sleek car".

Fast & furious (movie) maybe just a super over-hyped movie to some, but it was also a yardstick for others.

Brian O'Connor (nick) may be laid to rest. for whatever reasons i think you should reconsider keeping it. it may be beacon for you.

Paul Walker describe himself as ""outdoorsman, ocean addict, adrenaline junkie ... and I do some acting on the side."

Paul Walker did live the-real-street life of The FAST & Furious, and he too was a caring person too outside the film world. cool2.gif

If they start and use the actors from Tokyo Drift after this then it will be a new phase a new start after a full loop from 1-7 huhu

yes, Sean Boswel (lucas black) will be in furious 7, weather or not he will 'replace' paul walker as toretto's 'bro/parter-in crime' remains to be seen.

QUOTE
Lucas Black Signs On For Fast & Furious 7, 8 And 9

Deadline reports that the Tokyo Drift star, who played a character named Sean Boswell, is going to make is comeback in James Wan's Fast & Furious 7, but that's not all. According to the site's sources, the actor will become a "regular in the series" and that he has signed on for at least the next three movies, meaning that we will also get to see him in Fast & Furious 8 and 9. As we don't really know anything about Chris Morgan's script for the next sequel - outside of the fact that it's set in Los Angeles - at this stage we don't know how Black will be introduced into the plot and united with the rest of the franchise's cast.

In Tokyo Drift, which is actually set after the events of the three most recent films, Sean Boswell was portrayed as a 17-year-old loner and street racer who is forced to move from the United States to Japan to live with his father when he gets too many strikes on his record. After the move he becomes a good friend of Han (the character played by Sung Kang who says he used to be a member of Dominic Toretto's gang) and is introduced to the world of drift racing. At the end of the movie Vin Diesel had a cameo as Dominc, reintroducing his character to the franchise, but outside of him Boswell has no other connections within the movie universe.

though i find Sean Boswel/lucas black is meh in the movie F&FTD

On Rotten Tomatoes the film (furious 7) has a rating of 86%, based on 36 reviews, with an average rating of 7/10

I will say, it was bittersweet. I would prefer a stronger movie plot, but since it's the last pwalker movie, I'll take it.

Aside there is lots of booty, booty and booty everywhere.drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif I find JDM rides a little underrepresented, like it's all muscle cars powered in the forefront. A few scenes played tribute to the original fnF. Sam Boswell ("Next DK") is just as crap as he was in Tokyo drift in his 2 minute cameo.

Nice to have Paul drive of in 2 of his all time favourite car in the movie, the GTR and supra

Honestly speaking for me the ending part was never really about the movie anymore, its more of like a tribute for Paul Walker. U can clearly see all the actors literally crying/sadding when they watch Brian play with his family at the beach. From that moment i knew already that it is literally a tribute for him. Then when Dom said about Never Goodbye and all, with the flashback between both of them, clearly it was meant for Paul, not Vin Diesel. And if u noticed when Dom at the T-junction and Brian come beside him in his white Supra with a white shirt, this clearly means something here. (If im not mistaken Brian wears blue shirt at the beach, but white shirt when he "race" with Dom for one last ride.) And then when they go separate ways with the background song See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and then the word For Paul written there, really sadding liao. bye.gif

To me it is not really an ending for Brian's character, its more of like an ending for Paul Walker. Thats why the ending is kinda like ambiguous, we may see Brian's character in the future or we may not. Its more of like a tribute for Paul Walker in the flesh of Brian O'Conner. nod.gif

Paul walker's influence & the F&F brand is huge in this franchise. People from all walks of life especially millions of (amateur) car enthusiast find some affinity for what it represents.
Sure, there are cheesy moments & some crappy dialogues but i find Fast 5 within the series as the single most important that ties all the former to current furious films, kinda stepped up the whole series. (F5 was my personal favourite in all, even after watching this),

Paul's passing as unfortunate and it was only a little more than halfway filming. They had to rethink the script to kinda let off paul with a without letting viewers and his fans feeling wrenched out. There were too many unshot scenes of paul to fully immerse his character in this film. I kinda guess those parts out aside from the..

I hope this franchise ends with this as the last film. for paul & the f&f franchise...

others found on you tube are fan made.

To me weather of not you spot those CGI scenes beside the ending is immaterial. Go ahead and spot if you want too but i would advise to enjoy the movie as is.

Like i said, some treat the whole franchise is a cheesy car movie but to many amateur car enthusiast, they will tell you, F&F gave more spotlight and help the car culture scene explode into a booming business that exceeds all imagination.

Totally agree... I said b4. I think this movie should end here. It is all concluded perfectly... No point to continue anymore as the family is getting thinner already. No gisele, no han n most importantly no brian. Lack of main character n add new character will nvr be the same.

Yup... Fast Five is the most awesome amongst all... Furious 7 not so bad and not so top. Mayb bcox paul departure n they need to link up all the previous FnF series to conclusion...

i share the same sentiments as you and shootkk, though it was always in vin diesel (man, i remember paul walker in his "diesel-time" prank sweat.gif ) mind that he as one of the producers planned a trilogy after justin lin' FF4,F5 & F6.

Whether of not james wan is retained (which btw made a excellent action movie in this instalment AND more importantly managed to seamlessly tie the movie , filling up big portions of the story (not just mere CGIs) without most viewers (actually i think many here too) actually noticing the gaps of the story given that...

But as van diesel said, earlier of the Fast & furious emphasis was more on action n cars, they (as producers) want to move into action & more story, cars will be there but not like what they had in previous within the franchise.

I think many will soon read of the achievements by the director n his crew in weeks to come, it's unprecedented to deal with such a task and managed to twirl it to a fitting finale and a emotional tribute to paul.
