Dropped faster than you can say 'Furious' tongue.gif

Currently 63% and in the verge of being rotten... sweat.gif

I think it's one of those if you love F&F, this is something you will enjoy but those looking to scrutinize the story etc. might be let down.

I wish they did Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift 2 laugh.gif

If the movie is about racing, drifting, racing, drifting... it won't last long.
Overall F8 got 7/10 from me

3.5/5, this film didn't do it for me.

Film is just reintroducing certain characters because it's convenient for the plot but never gave their arcs proper treatment nor closure. The ending felt forced and oddly unsatisfying shakehead.gif

It's still decent though, not on 2 fast 2 furious's level of terrible, but somewhere around fast 6's level of terrible

The action scenes were ridiculous but with good laughs. Banters within dialogues were cheeky.
Story was so-so. Still a good popcorn flick movie.

its way better than F7. I enjoy this much. Action scenes were over the top but not much as ridiculous F7.

You know what? Watched it in MBO 4D first then in TGV IMAX 3D and I actually miss the rumbling seats and smell of burning tire from the 4D hall. When I was watching it in 4D I felt that it was all too distracting but when I finally watch it in a normal hall, I miss it.

Something I noticed after watching the second time:

With due respect, please accept that the 'Fast and Furious franchise that people knew about' is now obsolete due to only three out of the eight movies were featuring street race, and is now the 'odd' one against the majority of the films featuring heist actions.

IMO, F5 and F7 are the only films in the series that did heists well

If purely about racing, F3:TD > F1 > 2F2F

My current ranking of FF films icon_rolleyes.gif

F5 > F7 > F3:TD > F8 > F6 > F4 > F1 > 2F2F

No la, but understand they can't do 8 movies with just racing as a theme hmm.gif

Anyways, they can't keep going bigger also, at one point they need to do something a bit more grounded in reality, like that change of pace from mission impossible 4 to 5

That motorcycle chase scene is pure pleasure mang drool.gif

It ok if it's not much really about street racing (well they had a simple akin Bollywood version in opening of the movie). I understand one can only do so much 'street racing' after so many F&F installments.

Do get me wrong, everytime we watch a certain genre, let say 007 (bond james) we have the signature tag example the startout theme as a mnemonic that we always associate

For F&F, it has been cars, memorable car chase, car tag (between Brian & whoever, dom)

In F8, it was shoved almost as sideshow. To me at least. Dom's family values in this movie was sooo cliche. It doesn't help with the director odd angles on facial closeups, not profile shots but straight up, flat faced. I know some might think it sure unconventional but it's rather annoying, in your face directorial (angle) we don't need to have to think about.

Having a heist is good, it was super fun in Fast five. Here, in F8 it was not coherent, maybe it's the (Felix Gary) director personal way of doing things

The banter between the co stars, nice. Something that I notice well with black directors.

F5 > F7 > F1 > 2F2F > F3:TD > F4 > F6 > F8

I'm sorry. Maybe something, the FF enigma Paul walker is no longer there. The only real driver (well I think maybe Jason Statham can drive)

Many too agreed that fast five was the best of the lot
(All eight fast & furious movies rated, accordingly)
