I though it was great, definitely one of the best MCU movies.
My rank if anyone curious; IM1=Cap2>Avengers>IM3>Thor>>everything else

Can't wait to see the twins in Avengers 2.

It ain't easy to turn one of the less interesting Marvel titles into an action powerhouse, but somehow Marvel managed to pull it off with flying colours by focusing less on CGI and more old skool action. Hands down, way better than the first film.

Weird, the first movie was heralded for its old school tendencies, which I very much agree on. It was the most unique was probably the best of the recent Marvel bunch of movies.

If they're going to do a Black Widow movie, IMHO, they should do it with Hawkeye.

He'll be the focus in Avengers 2 according to RDJ.
Even got proper costume now.

You mean the first film was the most unique and probably the best of the recent ones? Or the sequel? Although the first one was necessary to set up for the Avengers, I didn't like it that much. Or probably I just can't stand how ordinary the character is haha. They could've at least made his fight at the end with Red Skull a bit longer perhaps.

Great movie for those marvel fans. a lot of talking to explain some of the stuff happening. get to know some of the conspiracy as well. i think it will be nice if you have watched marvel one shot and some agent of shield.

other than that, i think it was good. and XD do keep an eye on black widow necklace.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier (I) (2014)

Comic books characters' all the craze now, didn't you know??

After Thor The Dark World, Marvel/Disney presents to us, this and it is... Good!

Having already told the origins of C.A. in Captain America: The First Avenger, directors Anthony Russo & Joe Russo have the task of telling a man out of time tale and they did it well.

The first act is simply brilliant. They were able to re-introduce Captain America to the audience and it was done in STYLE!!

I think most people would be disappointed with the second act, where most of the story in being told through... dialogue... Although I personally appreciated it.

I for one is a little disappointed by the third act, because, I guessed (almost) every single plot twist!!! SO no surprises for me... sad.gif

After this movie, alot should change in the Marvel Universe!!

THAT, I did not see coming...

The action is something I have to give a tip of the hat to. Captain America does not have super powers. His capability is that of a top athlete/gymnast/wrestler/martial artist!! I really REALLY love they was they utilised his Shield this time round, because that is how it was done in the comics!!

Also the resolution with Peggy character is well done and touching.

And if you must know, there are additional stuff in the middle of the end credits.

I would give this a 3.5/5.

Bring On Summer Blockbusters!!

All that died then coming back to life is getting annoying! That was my only quarrel for The Winter Soldier. Oh when the film is called "The Winter Soldier" I expect it to be mainly about the winter soldier. He was supposed to be Cap's nemesis, but they made him the mindless jockey.

My least favourite Avenger but one of the MCU films that is rather good. Mid-creds setup the suspense for future films alright.

@Frankmiller92: technically he is mindless yeah? tongue.gif Plus "The Winter Solder" has a nicer ring compared to "Project Insight".

So, that would also explain why Senator Stern is such as a-hole.

This seems to be the most violent Marvel movie (not that I have a problem with that). The punches and kicks were very detailed and people getting shot at was also pretty graphic compared to the previous Marvel movies. Hell.. someone even said "son of a b****".
Watched this in IMAX 3D. The movie itself was alright but the 3D? What 3D? There's not a single scene from start to end where I felt like I'm watching a 3D movie.
