This seems to be the most violent Marvel movie (not that I have a problem with that). The punches and kicks were very detailed and people getting shot at was also pretty graphic compared to the previous Marvel movies. Hell.. someone even said "son of a b****".
Watched this in IMAX 3D. The movie itself was alright but the 3D? What 3D? There's not a single scene from start to end where I felt like I'm watching a 3D movie.

Dammit I was expecting at least an Iron Man cameo when Nick Fury was told to get him to mingle around with people in a party.

Yeah the car chase scene, gun battles and hand to hand combat was top notch. Marvel has really upped the action scenes for this one.

This is pretty cool because for once we get a superhero movie without a villain to take over the world or something. Its good vs good. Hell yeah.

Anyone watching it in 3-D?  May I ask if the 3d glasses for gsc are still the bulky yellow one? If so I think I'll just get the IMAX tickets coz that 3d glasses are so uncomfortable and press on my face
*
I'm not sure but I feel that bulky or not, I think you should still go for IMAX 3D. Movies like these are best watched on a screen like IMAX (unless you're fine with just watching it on a standard screen). Too bad IMAX will only show it in 3D because I think its a waste of money. I've seen almost all Marvel movies in IMAX 3D and the 3D is almost non-existent.

Then WTF they use the word maxx?
Geez all this while I have been thinking its a IMAX theater
*
It's probably called maxx because of the huge screen. It's just a standard screen where they blow up the size up to 3 times bigger. Only TGV has IMAX halls.
Some people also still think maxx is IMAX especially at Berjaya Times Square because there did used to be a standalone IMAX hall there before it closed.

hey guys i wanna ask, is it worth to pay extra for atmos? how much superior atmos-equipped cinema is in comparison with the normal ones?
*
It really depends on whether the movie is supposed to be experienced in atmos or not. I watched The Maze Runner in both normal and atmos hall previously and I didn't hear any difference at all.

Anyway guys.. I'm selling 1 IMAX 3D ticket for Friday since I couldn't make it. Below are the details if anyone is interested then PM me.

Location: Sunway Pyramid

Watched it in the normal 2D hall and when the big text (that tells you which country they're in) appeared on screen you can see the sides cut off especially if the country name is long. Would just like to mention it in case that's a big deal to you. So watch it in IMAX if you want to see the entire thing.

I'd say this is one of the best Marvel movie.

I don't usually go for IMAX 3D since it's expensive..but I guess this round it's really recommended? biggrin.gif

I watched it in both normal 2D and IMAX 3D.
You can actually see more in IMAX because of the bigger screen. There were a few times where the country name will appear in the middle of the screen and I noticed that the sides of the name are cut off in normal 2D if the name is long. Not in IMAX though. Another time was when Tony was addressing the audience in a hall at the begging of the movie. In IMAX you can clearly see him reading a script that was shown at the top right of the screen but I didn't notice that in 2D until he reached his last line. Its almost like a bit of the top part is cut off in normal 2D.
I'm guessing some parts of it is filmed using IMAX cameras or something which is why you don't see the entire thing when viewing on a normal screen.

The 3D is non existent as usual which is the case for pretty much all Marvel movies. Its just not made to be watched in 3D which is a wast of money.

Did you get to see Warcraft trailer in IMAX 3D? Heard alot of praise for it.
*
I did and it did look pretty good (even though I'm not a fan). They even showed an IMAX exclusive clip of it. Nothing special though..it just shows the actors talking about how great the movie is and shows a few scenes here and there which is already in the trailer. But if you're into Warcraft then you should really see the trailer in IMAX which looks amazing.

Oh and there's also a Ghostbusters trailer that you should check out when you're in IMAX (I've seen it 3 times in IMAX). There's a ghost that suddenly spits something out of the screen and 2 out of 3 times the person next to me jumped or screamed because it was too damn real and scary. You should totally keep an eye out of people around you so you can laugh at them lol.

Watched it on DBox over the weekend

How was it in DBox? I've never tried it before and thought this would be the perfect movie to try it.

Watched it in normal 2D and IMAX 3D. Will be watching it in ATMOS D-box later. Trying it out for the first time and couldn't have picked a better movie.

Is anyone watching the movie in D-Box Atmos? Is it worth to watch?
*
Watched it in D-Box ATMOS and don't think its worth it. It's my first time trying D-box and it was either too distracting or just didn't felt it delivered anything special. As for ATMOS, its my second time in an ATMOS hall (the first time was The Maze Runner) and didn't hear any difference from the other 2 times I watched Civil War in normal 2D and IMAX 3D. So yeah.. this is the last time I'm trying D-box and ATMOS. I'm sticking with IMAX.

Anyway.. isn't it strange that Black Panther easily got shocked by Black Widow's laser when even bullets can't penetrate his suit? Hell... even Crossbones didn't feel anything when he was shocked at close range.
