Look! Actual Picture of Chris Evans on the Captain America Set!



Instead of, you know, pictures of buildings, and signs, and people putting up buildings and signs from the movie. Mind you, not that there’s anything wrong with you kids posting every little image from the movie you can get your grubby Internet hands on, but come on, signs and set buildings???? Really???

Anyways, here’s your first look at Chris Evans on the Manchester, England set of “Captain America”. Alas, he’s not in his costume, but as you can see, Evans looks like he’s hit the gym on a pretty regular basis for the role. He’s always been more buff than the average Joe, but I’m pretty sure he’s gotten bigger, though I could be wrong. It’s not like I spend all my time checking out the size of Chris Evans’ biceps, you know. Ahem. Where was I? Oh right — check out those guns!

Not sure who the pistol-packing girl in the last few pics with Evans is, but she’s apparently in uniform. It’s entirely possible that’s Hayley Atwell, who has the biggest female role in the film, but it’s hard to tell from the angle of the shots.

“Captain America” stars Evans as the star-spangled avenger, aka Steve Rogers, and co-stars Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, and Toby Jones. Joe Johnston is directing for a 2011 release.

There’s Going To Be A Submarine In Captain America, Take A Look



There’s going to be a submarine in Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: The First Avenger”. The Liverpool Daily Post  published two pictures from the set at the city’s Stanley Docks, which have been transformed to resemble 1940s New York. It is not specified which side the retro-look submersible belongs to.

The Cosmic Cube, which is described by Marvel’s official site as the following:

As previously reported, the item plays a huge part in the film as it’s one of the relics the Red Skull is after and Captain America must stop him from getting. From the looks of this photo, it doesn’t look like Captain America is doing a very good job.
