no good skill can help you with face problem especially not with good price

Er, Bro, Do you mind to add a comma in your sentence ?
I can't understand what you trying to say at all.
Too bad, I don't see any relation between face problem and good price

I personally frequent Connie Beauty Salon all the way in Pertama Complex although I stay in Petaling Jaya- run by a family- mother/son team (Connie and Vicson). Very professional, although honestly speaking their prices might be too dear for students. They do a very good job though.

a little bit of off topic here, I've went to Mansoon ID in 1U 2 days ago and took a package of Colour + Highlight + Treatment + Cut. Apparently I'm quite satisfied with the hair style but I don't see how they have actually dyed my hair because my hair is still black in colour except the highlight part. I would it was normal so I didn't bother about it because that place is kinda dark so I thought the colour wouldn't be that obvious. Do you guys think it's still possible for me to complain about it and have them dye it back for me without any extra cost?

you might try to negotiate with them. nv try nv know. mb could end up they charge a small fraction of full price for re-dyeing your hair again. depends on your tolerance level lo wink.gif

btw, EProject just opposite Mid Valley is quite good. but gonna look out for its price tho'

any affortable saloon good in natural rebonding? nothing too straight and make my head looks flat.

Erm... so far the best I tried is Eiji Project (E.P.) which is the branch outlet from Japan. They have all the Japanese stylist, male and female to help you style your hair. Although the price is somewhat higher. But you'll definitely feel they're good after visiting them.

E.P. Hair Salon, Mid Valley
A-G-2, Ground Floor, North Point, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur
Tel: 2287-0661 / 0662

Opening hours: 1030am - 0730pm Daily
(Close on Tuesday and the 3rd week of Wednesday)

Hikaru Hair Salon, Bukit Bintang
Shop 3, Ground Floor, Menara Keck Seng, 203 Jalan Bukit Bintang
Tel: 2142 2363

Opening hours: 1100am - 08000pm Daily
(Close on Tuesday and the 3rd week of Wednesday)

Their website: http://www.ephair.com/

Be sure to contact them and make a reservation before going there.

I get to know this hairstylist and I like her skill very much and the saloon where she work located at Wangsa Maju KL. If not mistaken, the shop name is Homme Hair Salon. PM me for the hairstylist's name. Her skill is nice and perfect in my opinion. Sorry for interrupting.

Red of Hair Saloon.
Desa Setapak, Wangsa Maju.

RM14.8O ! For a hair cut.

Hairstylist - Isaac Gee
- Ken

They're both quite good and friendly. They won't keep you sleeping while they're cutting your hair. Skills, pretty good and they're very up to date with the latest hairstyle.

Give it a try !

i need a hair cut...plz recommend me a good, reasonably priced place like below rm50 for a ladies haircut, else i have to try a restyle at the express cut salon.Preferably the salon got easy parking and is nearby/around PJ area, not adventurous to go as far as KL/Wangsa Maju/Setapak.

EP if for more stylist hairstyle..while A cut above is for more Manageble Hairstyle.

hope this help

btw i go alot of hair salon...each time different place...

went to

@ hair zone (seapark) - dye....ok normal but expensive plus treatment rm350!!!!
- rebonding (my sister) not bad
- cut - don really dare to let them cut...rather go shunji more pro brows.gif

@ SNIPS sg wang-(ok ok only very fast cut finish)

@ SHUNJI MATSUO (mid valley)-

(my best place of all.went ther more then 3 times..the stylist is very daring, they don stop u if u wan to cut from long hair to short.
Last time i got waist line hair lengh cut till above shoulder..and very nice too....recommend if u need to change hairstyle(bad news is the director japanese hair stylist transfer to vietnam already..haih.... but she recommend us to go inside japanese club (another shunji) to find another japanese hair stylist. thumbup.gif

price -shunji midvalley (rm98)
-shunji japanese club (rm78)

***ps they got korean hairstylist also..dunno if they tranfer him anot (recomend for manageble hair)

@ sg wang (down stair forgot wat name)-ruin my hair (perm my hair like auntie DENG!) vmad.gif

@ monsoon id(1 utama)-erm normal only...not much different but they give alot of suggestion.

@ Sunway (forgot wat is the name) - cut a very old style hairstyle....haih..those staircase style wif half short half long (now she need to tie her hair everyday) blink.gif

wanna try:;

@ EP (my sister went..not bad...but my sister din change hairstyle just trim sooo..normal looo ) exp then shunji i think rm100+
but good for those who wan to go for very stylist hairstyle..

@ shunji jap club- my fren tried.. went there and cut many times...not bad

@ frizzer- time square new opening..look pro not those lala ones..but same price as shunji for director cut hmm.gif

will be going for;;

@ kota damansara AUGUST (will try this salon)

Any one have the contact number of Shunji Japanese club? The Mid Valley Shunji has moved to Sri Hartmas, a bit not convenient to me. Btw, who knows which hairstylist is the best now in Shunji (Sri Hartamas)? I want to do a relax rebonding. Any good recommendation? If possible, i prefer either Puchong or somewhere around KLCC. Thanks.

I have curly / wavy hair and normally, 3 out of 5 times, I will not like my haircut! It seems that the Malaysian stylists, who are affordable, do not have enough experience with curly hair.

Which is why I started going to Peek-A-Boo (Taman Tun) for my hair cuts - because they seem to know what they are doing, even though they always seem to cut shorter than what I want + are a bit pricey (RM 75)

To save money this month, I tried Peter & Guys in 5th Floor of Berjaya Times Square for RM 45. Its a package for wash + professional cut & blow.

A stylist named Christy worked on my hair and she did a pretty good job.. the haircut shows off my curly hair + it is at a length that I am comfortable with. Christy was also friendly and chatty. Their contact number: 03 2144 6323

2 salons that i highly recommend are

Number 76 (formerly known as EP group). The one at MV north Point and there is another branch at Mont Kiara.

hair cut by japanese stylist is RM98 for MV branch.. last time i checked, mont kiara's branch is a bit higher in price. not sure have they standardized their price yet or not.

anyway, MV's branch has Yoshi and Hikky for japanese stylists and Steve as local stylist.

Mont Kiara's branch has Dejima and Ryoko as Japanese stylists and Amy as local stylist.

I used to be a loyal customer for the past 1 year at MV's branch and my stylist is Yoshi. However, I have stopped going there because they have gotten very popular nowadays due to local bloggers promoting for them. I do not really like getting my hair done under the environment where there are many customers around. haha! i feel stressful. lol

hence I decided to look for another japanese salon and I came across Aki Hair Studio at TTDI. I LOVE IT THERE! Aki worked for EP group when they just opened at MV north point and after 3 years, he went to Thailand for 2 years and recently came back here and open his own salon, call Aki Hair Studio.

His hair cut costs RM138; however they are running at 20% promotion for all services right now. Very relaxing environment and I feel so peaceful there as not many customers. haha!

So, yeah I am now a new customer to Aki hair Studio and no longer to Number 76. However, I might go back to 76 once in a while for their ultrasonic hair treatment.

reply to this old post for other's reference. i went to A Cut Above Pavilion. At first the receptionist quote me RM250++ for hair rebonding. then when hairstylist came he quote RM600. my hair is mid length, not reached waist. apparently the receptionist was quoting for the shortest hair. i left cos no money sad.gif

how pricey is pricey for you? lol

anyway, i may recommend you to Number 76 at MV north point or mont kiara. price will be at RM98. but if you opt for local stylist, it will be RM79? in the RM70ish. it's a japanese salon.

or you may go to Aki hair studio at TTDI. cutting is at RM138 but they are having 20% promotion. not sure if they still have it now. if you want a place where it's not too busy so that you don't have to wait long, aki hair studio is the one to go. Number76 is way too busy at this time and probably their appointment is full until end of CNY. both salon are closed during the entire week of CNY btw. call them for appointment as they usually can't take in walk in due to appointment from customers in advanced.

Halo guys! To me, i don't think it's a good idea to get hair services in a salon that located in shopping mall. Coz they charge you more n they might not pay full attention (salon in mall r always crowded), most important thing is there are always many trainees which lack of experience to serve us. I dont dare to gamble on my hair.

Follicle Hairdressing in sunway mentaru business park(same row with yuan steamboat), the hairstylist are all seniors, you guys can look for the director, he is very nice and give you very good suggestion. Normal cut for male 38; female 48. 03-56211588 ^^

There is this salon in Damansara Jaya (next to former Atria) and in Kota Damansara called De Quarter. This salon CAN'T DO hair cuts even its Director. They are only good at doing chemical works on your hair. Once you go into the salon, they'll start "purifying" your hair which apparently is part of the hair treatment which that alone costs RM150/RM200 (depends on your hair length). You won't be given a choice or been told upfront about this treatment and its price!! Everything else that you do will be on top of this RM150/RM200...

They claimed to be expert in hair works but the truth is that they can only do chemical works. They rely on their many types of chemical which they apply, spray and etc on your hair to make your hair feels and looks nice. After that you'll realise that your hair is like shit. They also expect you to buy their hair products when you make payment. So all in all, be ready at least (that's the very minimal) of RM500 if you're planning to visit this salon. I have also personally witnessed a disastrous result from their hair perming. They will talk you through so that you won't blame them or try to reason with you why such result occur and bla bla bla... Now there's one review about this salon, don't blame the net if you kena from this lousy salon!!

ooohhh.. were you one of the victims? sorry to hear that. i hate going to such salon. i mean all their services and charges got to be visible to customers. it's our rights!! if i were you, i would have refused to pay for those unknown prices. i hate hard sell salons as well. sigh.. luckily the salon that i go to never do such thing to their customers.

has anyone went to A Cut Studio in Taman Melawati?
I asked for rebonding and scalp treatment they quote me RM230
but i'm planning to do my hair next month
230 sounds alright

i did my rebonding last year at Hair Exchange salon in Sg Wang
cost me about RM250 with treatment
the one who did my hair was a junior stylist but i'm not 100% satisfied with her service
after a month, my hair felt dry and not that straight anymore
that was the second time i did my hair at the salon
the first time with a stylist name Celine, but she was not there anymore
that was why i went there again
but the second time was not satisfying and i'm not considering to do my hair there for the third time

i hate esnips at sungei wang...="=
that time i go with 2 of my friends there to get hair treatment.
they do it on my friends 1st, after around 3 steps which is washing the hair i starting to complain cause i wait for 1/2 hours and they not even touch my hair!
so basically the people know i complaining and only starting to do my hair
he said sorry cause they not enough people...
that one i ok
but they skip the 1st and 2nd steps they hurry wash my hair.
and then different part is the 4th step, they just put the cream on my hair and wrap in plastic and heat it. ="=
and what a miracle we finish at same time
but i can feel my hair is no different...
but both my friends hair is more smooth than mine.
my hair is fine type.i can said my hair is more smooth than both of my friend without hair treatment cause both of them is thick and hard type.
seriously waste my time rm165 for nothing

change hair salon! go to any of these salons, i bet you'll be very happy with their services.

Number 76 - both MV and mont kiara are good.. but my friend prefers mont kiara better

Aki hair studio - my fave for now at TTDI

daisuke salon - most expensive japanese salon around. haha! at PJ two square

pitchoune - at solaris dutamas

i love japanese salons. i mean seriously their service is so different! love japanese hairstylists too. haha!

btw, is esnips the same as SNIPS? the one same floor as daiso? the one having manicure as well right? if that's the one.. that's the first salon that i ever went to. i mean salon in shopping mall. my stylist back then was nicholas. i really like this stylist as he is very detail in cutting my hair. he can go up to 1.5 hours just to cut my hair. lol! but too bad after a few years having him, he suddenly left the salon and i don't know where he goes anymore. so, i left that salon since then.

it's not in MV itself. you gotta walk over to north point, the office building. from FOS children outlet, walk over the crossover bridge to north point. take escalator down and walk to your right, all the way in.

steve is local stylist; hence he is RM78 for hair cut. definitely in the RM70s range as for hikky is RM98 for haircut since she is japanese. You may try yoshi too and he too is RM98. since yoshi has developed quite many customers because he has been here for 4 years now.. so, to avoid waiting and etc, go for hikky. haha!
