Brad Pitt is a bit smaller in comparison to how big Thor is in the comics. That is, if Marvel is aiming for similarity as the comic character.
If there was another remake that should be done, its Daredevil. Though the movie was quite good (yes I like it) but Kingpin & Bullseye are not the same in their looks.

Well seriously only you guys had seen thor on comics book. But if height was the issue perhaps maybe he isn't fit for the role. But if talking about size, well if you look at Troy at how he bulk himself up just for the role of Achilles, perhaps maybe brad could have a chance. Just my 2 cents.

Or Brad could just become Dr Blake...and cast someone else to be Thor.. QUOTE(firedauz @ May 6 2008, 02:11 PM) LOL..I remember this issue.. Ironman got not chance standing up against Thor and got his armor all fried up like pisang goreng with just 1 hit by him...

In an article at Military.com talking about Terrence Howard's character Col. James 'Rhodey' Rhodes in Iron Man, the actor revealed that he will begin filming for Iron Man 2 in March of 2009.
The sequel has already been scheduled for a release on April 30, 2010. Jon Favreau is expected to direct again, with Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow returning as well.

Certain Iron Man 2 rumors surfaced: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « * Jon Favreau planned Iron Man as the first in a trilogy.
* According to MTV Movie Blogs in July of last year Favreau believed the sequel will allow latitude in tone, and explore darker story elements such as alcoholism, which he intentionally set aside from the first film.
* Wikipedia reminds us that Robert Downey Jr. has said “the next one is about what do you do with the rest of your life once you’ve completely changed. I think the drinking and all that stuff would be a good way to confront his age, to confront his doubts, to confront the fact that maybe Pepper gets a boyfriend.”
* Downey and Favreau met with Shane Black, who suggested they model Stark on Robert Oppenheimer, who became depressed with being “the destroyer of worlds” after working on the Manhattan Project.
* Terrence Howard added this would be the manner in which his character would become War Machine, like in the comics: Rhodes built his own suit after temporarily becoming Iron Man when Stark succumbed to alcoholism. * Favreau perceived depicting Iron Man’s nemesis, the Mandarin, as a challenge, as he finds the use of the character as a metaphor for communism dated.
* There are references to the Mandarin into the first movie, primarily with the terrorist organization named the Ten Rings. The sequel will heavily focus on War Machine. Says Howard, “Judging from how that audience responded, we got a pretty good shot of having some War Machine go down.” (MTV.com)
* Thor will appear in the sequel, setting up the Thor film.
* Iron Man will face off against Mandarin in the sequel.
* Captain America’s shield has been spotted lying around Tony Stark’s workshop; there have been rumors that Captain America will be interwoven in the second film’s story line to set up the Captain America film, due out shortly after Iron Man 2. (WHAT!? I gotta get the DVD to have a look at this!)

Sauce: http://www.variety.com/article/VR111798900...egoryid=13&cs=1QUOTE Theroux to write 'Iron Man' sequel Marvel nears deals with Favreau, Downey Jr
Marvel has handed the armor over to Justin Theroux, who will pen the sequel to "Iron Man."
The comicbook giant's film division is close to a deal to bring back helmer Jon Favreau and star Robert Downey Jr. for the pic it hopes to release in April 2010.
Theroux, a thesp-scribe best known for roles in "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and HBO's "Six Feet Under" and miniseries "John Adams," most recently wrote the DreamWorks comedy "Tropic Thunder," which Paramount will unspool next month.
In addition to writing and appearing in "Tropic Thunder," Theroux also exec produced the laffer, which stars Ben Stiller, Downey and Jack Black. He recently made his directing debut on "Dedication," which the Weinstein Co. distribbed.
"Iron Man," released in May, has earned more than $314 million at the domestic box office and collected another $252 million overseas.
It was Marvel Studios' first self-financed pic, distribbed by Par, so it's no surprise that the studio is looking to get another installment into theaters as quickly as possible.
Marvel Studios, however, isn't being quick to confirm any deals around the project, saying it doesn't comment on rumors. I wonder why they changed writers. The first movie's writers did a good job the way I see it.
