Since you say the movie is good, then it must be good, I trust Dato's honest remarks one but me didn't go to the cinema for a very long time, rather watch it at home. The only two movies which are considered bad will be The Hulk and Daredevil, tengok sampai .

Well, the tax thingy is true, my friend ordered PS3 GTA IV from Singapore also kena tax. Yeah, only one title, custom officer argued that PS3 games are not classified as computer games but as console games so taxable. If we can justify that BD movies are computer softwares then we're safe.

I didn't tell you not to buy it meh? I happened to own Total Recall BD too, the picture grain is more fantastic than my previous dvd version, sound is slightly better but not great. One movie to avoid if you already got the dvd version. Funny thing, Dirty Dancing BD an even older movie than Total Recall, looked much better than it.

Not really, I just watched my friend's Predator BD. The PQ is dark and the details are like upscaled dvd, very grainy and the sound, the bass sounded like you're watching the movie in a cave, the bass very hollow, not deep enuff. Got no punch even it is in DTS-HD MA. By comparison still better than Total Recall BD lah.

Pop, the Infernal Affairs Trilogy on BD mana boleh beli? Couldn't even find from Play Asia or even our mighty Amazon.

Well, it is subjective whether you like to watch the movie or not but on hd-dvd, the PQ is great, just that the sound is pretty average as they're only using Dolby Digital Plus, if the blu-ray version is using either Dolby TrueHD, PCM or even DTS-MA, it will sound a lot better. I think that's possible given the extra space on the blu-ray disc.

You don't have to worry joining Taukeh's BD bulk as nobody is willing to pay a single cent for taxes.

No point also lah, those movies are not shot on HD cam and don't feature any lossless audio soundtrack, they're more suitable to remain on standard dvds.

They can be remastered in blu-ray format but don't expect it to look better than dvds, sometimes, it may look worst (soft or grainy). Why waste $$$ on such movies when the source film is inferior and don't look no better than an upscaled dvd, rite?

Robocop's PQ is as teruk as Total Recall, very grainy and you won't know it's a blu-ray version since doesn't look any better its dvd counterpart. They're wasting time mastering such movies on blu-ray, they should concentrate on movies which are worth mastering on blu-ray, nobody will buy the same movie again if the PQ and AQ on blu-ray.
